Hello all,

Our French Speaking Club is back on !!

You have recently moved to the Neuchatel area and are looking for a way to improve / practice your french speaking skills ? You are interested in meeting people from all over the world, who have been through the same experience as you, moving to Switzerland ? You feel your french level is not good enough to take part in a conversation but you would love to be able to join and listen ? You feel academic french lessons help you improve your french but you are looking for a place to actually practise and speak with a native speaker?
And for so many other reasons : our club is for you !!

I am a native french speaker who has lived abroad for a while. I love speaking english, and sharing my knowledge in french, and i love meeting people from around the world !

We will be meeting every friday morning, in Neuchatel : Café L'Aubier, Chateau 1.
Starting on friday, November 6th, 9h30 AM,for about an hour.
Cost is 5frs/ person.

We will discuss a topic in french !

Whatever your french level is, don't be afraid to give us a try ! You can come to speak. You can come to listen. You can come to meet us and see for yourself that we were worth a shot !

Spread the word !

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM your email address and i will make sure to answer you.

Looking forward to meeting you !
Gerri

Re: French Speaking Club

I would love to do this as my number one problem is that I don't have enough opportunities to speak French for extended periods of time. I am B2/C1 level. My only concern is that this will turn into an English-speaking event with a bit of French thrown in for good measure. What are you anticipating?

I only managed to make it to one session last year but the majority of the time was spent speaking French with not very much English at all. It could be that the session I went to was an exception but I'm going to try to go to a few more this time around. I won't be there on Friday though as I'm on bread oven duty at the village school.
