Our line-up:

Paolo Marcarino
Moscato d'Asti 2005 (sweet & slightly sparkling): A beautiful Moscato! Rich, concentrated and creamy with a green apple nose, this Moscato is exhilarating! Paolo is truly the Maestro of Moscato! Bravo Paolo! 5.5 % alc. 15.50 CHF

Cantina Sant' Evasio
Gavi di Gavi 2005: Beautiful, grassy, herbal nose with a bright straw-yellow and greenish color. This Gavi has a strong acidity level that will pair very well with seafood and Asian dishes. 12.5% alc. 18.00 CHF

Azienda Agricola Isabella
Piemonte Chardonnay "Carpe Diem" 2003: This is a very special Chardonnay, which is only produced during the best vintages. It is aged for 12 months in barrique, plus another 8 months in steel tanks, and it is only released after being held in the bottle for a further 12 months. The result is an incredible wine, it smells of bananas and tropical fruits and honeysuckle! Full, rich and round in the mouth, and a beautiful golden yellow in the glass; this wine is delicious on its own as an apero, but it can also be enjoyed with appetizers, white meat dishes and cheeses. 13.5% alc. 2 cups - Gambero Rosso. 24.00 CHF

Tenuta Castello di Razzano
Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese "Pianaccio" 2005: Grignolino is an old grape varietal indigenous to Piemonte and its name in local dialect means "many pips" due to the many seeds in each grape. The Olearo's Grignolino is one of the most delicious we have ever tasted. The nose of ripe cherries is delightful and refreshing, this is a lighter-style red wine with a higher acidity level that is perfect with salamis and pasta dishes. Drink this wine young and serve it slightly chilled. 12.5% alc. Recommended by Gambero Rosso. 12.50 CHF

Tenuta Castello di Razzano
Barbera d'Asti "La Leona" 2005: This Barbera spends no time in oak, the result is a fresh, fruity wine designed to drink while it is young. It is a perfect every-day-drinker to be paired with pastas and red meats. 13.5% alc. 11.50 CHF

Tenuta Castello di Razzano
Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Campasso" 2003: This Barbera is matured in 20-hectolitre barrels which adds just a hint of oakiness that has admirable balance on the nose and palate. It has scents of fresh berries with just a hint of mint. Enjoy this wine with any red meats or roasts and it is delicious with aged cheeses. 14% alc. Awarded 2 cups by Gambero Rosso. 15.25 CHF

Cantina Sant' Evasio
Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza 2003: This is one of the few oaked Barberas that we carry, because we usually prefer to taste just the fruit, but this one really won us over. Andrea Lacqua really understands the complex balancing of fruit to oak! This Barbera, which comes from 80 year-old vines, spends one year in oak and a further 8 months in bottle before being released. The color is an intense dark ruby red, and the nose is rich and fruity with hints of spices and vanilla. In the mouth it is soft, richly concentrated and balanced. This special wine deserves special foods, so pair it with red meat, game or matured cheeses. 14.5% alc. 30.00 CHF

Azienda Agricola Isabella
Malvasia Rosa "Gaia" 2005 (sweet & slightly sparkling): This 100% Malvasia sparkling dessert wine is absolutely delicious and addictive! But with the low alcohol content, there's no need to feel as guilty! Named after Emma and Gabriele's daughter, it is a beautiful ruby red in color. The nose is a beautiful blend of strawberries and fresh fruits, and in the mouth it is delightful and fresh not cloying at all! Serve this on its own at the end of the meal, or with fresh fruit desserts or hazelnut cakes. 6% alc. 16.50 CHF
