Bummer, I'll be in London that weekend and will miss the lunch. Any recommendations for pubs with good Ploughman's Lunches in London?

I only have one 1.5 kilo cheese and it is so ripe it lives in a fridge on it's own. It will be released at the Highland Games next weekend, surely the kilt wearers will be brave enough?

I'm planning to come up by train from Ticino, be there early - i.e. loooooong lunch - and thereafter amble back to SBB and sleep all the way back to Mendisio
Question: is *anyone* going to be around at 1 pm at all? Despite my interest in suds & curds I'd also love to meet some other forumites....

Well, I thought I'd see some friendly faces I know. Looking forward to it I was. Now I see that MathNut will be in USA, Bartholemew in Brussels, Oldhand in England and Lob doesn't want to sit beside me either.
With friends like these, who needs enemies?

there is a potential that my out-laws might be venturing up from sunny climes to dirty Svizzera Tedesca for a few scoops and sock-smelling fromages.....
And I'll let you sit next to me again, Longbyt |
