UPDATE: The lunch will consist of a large Ploughmans with a choice of 3 or 4 pies and about 6 cheeses. Cost is 18 Fr.
For those interested in trying some unusual artisan British cheeses we may also be offering a tasting plate of these for about 10 Fr.
I'm buying cheese this week in the UK and will have loads of Shropshire Blue, Organic Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton, as well as our usual Cheddars including Isle of Mull and Mull of Kintyre.
Also from Scotland, Lanark Blue & Maisies Kebbuck, 4 cheeses from County Cork and from England Rachel Goats cheese, Duddleswell mild sheep, mini Nettle & Wild garlic Yargs and plenty of Stinking Bishop. Don't let the name put you off, it's one of the best cheeses I have ever tasted.
See you all there!

Thought I would give this a bump and add (for all of you who needs one) a map to the Pie shop... http://map.search.ch/8006-zuerich/rotbuchstr.1a
Either that or follow your nose... That Stinking Bishop is a killer!! | | This user would like to thank Galatea for this useful post:

| | | Re: Pie & Cheese Ploughman's Lunch at the Pie Shop Damn, I have a lunch date then and I'm not sure the poor unsuspecting man is ready to meet the EF force quite yet.
Depending on how good or bad the date is, I might be able to make it for dinner. Either way I win, how cool is that?
In other words - bump. |

Mmmm.... delicious cheese (though I ate too much), lovely beer, a proper cup of tea, pickled onions, pickle and Love Hearts.
It couldn't have been better!
Followed by a trip to the HB to eat curry and imagine I was in Leicester (a big Indian mela, lots of fun), and then the Rot Fabrik to look at nice pictures.
A splendid EF-inspired day... looking forward to the next one! | | The following 2 users would like to thank Dougal's Breakfast for this useful post:

It did indeed go very well, despite the damp weather. It looks like we will be doing this every month now although we will probably be starting at about 1 pm and finishing about 9 pm. I'll also be bringing our gazebo and patio heater so we can move outside. (also so Dave can enjoy his cigars and 2 bottles of wine in comfort)
We're also planning a whisky and cheese evening there with Scottish pies and for Christmas a Port & Stilton night. Gentleman will be expected to dress accordingly.

I only dropped by to pick up some beer, but ended up eating a delicious pie, drinking superb Ale and taking some cheese home with me (that garlic yarg is great!)
I can't wait until next time! ( there has to be a next time so I can bring my wife who gave me a hard time for not taking her along )
