I was back in the UK last week for the British Cheese Festival in Cardiff and collected lots of new cheeses for this event (and for our new shop opening very soon in Thalwil). A full stock list is on the link below. I won't be able to bring all along, but let me know if you would like to try any in particular.
The Quick's Cheddar is currently out of stock, but I should have another delivery just in time. http://www.cheeseclub.ch/en/Resources/cheeselist.pdf |

Quick's mature cheddar is back in stock - one of my favourites. Because the weather has taken a turn for the worse, we will probably ditch the Ploughmans lunch and instead serve a British cheese and pickle plate with crusty bread, we have loads of very strong English pickled onions and chutney's, including Branston Pickle.
Our Whisky Rarebits will be making a return as well. See you at the brewery!

I forgot to give the web site for the brewery - www.bierfactory.ch - The brewery is just behind the new Kunsthause on the road to St Gallen, 10 - 15 mins walk from the BH.
Quick's mature cheddar from Devon has arrived in time, I'll also bring plenty of Shropshire Blue, Applebys Cheshire as well as some interesting sheep and goats cheeses including the spectacular Harbourne Blue goat from Devon. It is hard and mild, but at the same time citrusy and spicy, no strong goat flavour at all in this one. The best cheese I have brought over so far.

I just got back from an afternoon of great food and conversation.
If you are wondering what to do this evening; the Cheese & Beer fest is going on for few more hours... . |

Great cheese, great company; altogether great fun.
And we heard a brilliant tip for folk who are trying to improve their Swiss German by watching the DRS TV programmes. It helps a lot if, before you spend half an hour trying to understand what the people are saying, you check that you are not watching the news in Raetoromanisch! |

That's a bummer. Grumpygrapefruit makes a mean "whisky rarebit" - warmed us up on the cold day yesterday (and after a chilly boat ride there - was beautiful ride though) and some deee-lish cheeses. Räppi beer was very tasty as well.
