Ghost Walk, Sat April 1, 19.15 Zürich

Hi everyone,

Who would like to go on the Ghost Walk tour of Zürich this Saturday? Once we have a chill in our bones, we can go for many stiff drinks afterwards. Or perhaps a nice cup of tea.

I know it's short notice but I thought it would be a fun think to do as Carrie will be in town on Saturday.

I'm posting this in commercial events as we have to pay. Apart from suggesting the meeting, I have no other connection with the scary man in the black hat:

More details:
http://www.ghostwalk.ch
Cost CHF 15 for grown ups and CHF 10 for children
Duration: 70 minutes
Meeting point: Paradeplatz - look for scary man in black
Start time: 19.30 but lets meet at 19.15.
Sprache: English

Why didn't I get a personal invitation?

Great idea but unfortunatley too short notice to organise a babysitter.

Wooo!!!

I enjoyed the walk last night, even though the weather wasn't friendly.

Dan Dent has been a ghost walk guide for many years now, starting in York, England, one of the spookiest places ever. He's been in Zürich for two and a half years and has done the research himself for the Zürich Ghost Walk.

The tour lasts about 70 minutes and apart from the main stories, Dan has some other amusing anecdotes and unusual Zürich facts to throw in.

I was a little sceptical about the tour (not about the ghosts because everyone knows that ghosts are real) as I was wondering if Dan would be bored monotone after doing the same tour every night. Not at all! It's like he started last week.

It's a pleasant and eerie way to spend an evening. Go soon before it gets too light in the evenings.

...and let me know if you're going. Dan told me he was working on some updates and I'm interested to hear how they progress.

Cheers,
=DM=
PS Don't look behind you - woooo!

I just looked behind me! Aaahhh!!!

I found the tour to be more humorous than scary. Scary didn't kick in until later at Diem's apartment when I had to wee in the middle of the night. A head full of ghost stories and a dark, strange apartment don't mix well.

Dan Dent was funny and you can see that he works hard to keep his work fresh! Go see!

Diem, you look much more Goth on your picture than you do in real life.
Carrie, how's the randy Jack russell story coming along.
You will both be glad to hear that Rudolf Brun's bottom continues to be blustery.
PS. The Ghost Walk of Zurich is probably the best Fr 15.- you can spend in the city.
PPS. Diem, how about meeting up for a drink one night? I might even let you look after my car for a quid!

Dear Dan of the dead,

My children's book, "Samantha, the girl dog, gets a bone of her own" is coming along nicely. Thanks for asking! I'm surprised you remember Diem and I so well.

I love meeting English dudes - they make me look up words like "blustery"!

P.S. I know why you want to take Diem out for a drink and not me....it's 'cause he wears more make-up than I do, isn't it?

Hello Dan,

Erm... fancy seeing you here. I should quickly check my review to make sure I was nice.

Well, it's your fault mate. I was fine until the morning after your tour. Now look at me - a ghost of my former self!
