The underground sessions kicks off 2009 with an absolute cracker. As usual we have 2 acts from the U.K. but we are introducing an additional act to show our support to local artists. Playing the night is John Smith, an exciting talent hailing from Liverpool. His voice has hints of Gomez laid over Nick Drake'esque guitar sounds. He is also one of the best in the new generation of percussive guitar players but few manage to balance technique with overall sound as wellas he does.Joining him is the fantastically talented Emily Barker(originally from Australia) who is very well established on the British Folk circuit and not only does she play a mean guitar or banjo/piano but sings like a songbird. Representing the local scene will be Swiss musician Reza. He will be the first swiss act to play and this will be the format from now on. Reza has a distinct sound which fits nicely into the underground sessions sound policy.
We are looking forward to an amazing night, this is definately not one to miss!
