City/Town: Zurich
Event Type: Special Promotion
Location: Orell Füssli, Bahnhofstrasse 70, CH 8001
Price: Free entry

Humphrey Errington is probably Scotlands most famous cheesemaker who makes the amazing Lanark Blue sheeps cheese, affectionately nicknamed the "Kilt Lifter" because of its strength, as well as some alleged other properties . He also makes Lanark White, also from sheeps milk and the cows milk Dunsyre.

I will be at Orell Füssli English book shop again from 11.00 am on Saturday 19th September and Humphrey will arrive just after lunch. His cheese, as well as a few real farm made cheddars and other regional British regional cheeses will be on offer. As usual, the tasting is free as is the wine to help wash it down, I will have a little cheese and chutney to sell on the day if you are suitably impressed.

Hope to see you there. Kilts are not obligatory but please wear one if you can. We would like to test the cheeses properties. Be warned though that photographs will be posted here after the event.

Unashamed "bump"

I will also have a couple of bottles of Humphreys alcoholic creation "Blaand". This ancient Scottish drink is being made commercially for the first time by him and is a cross between dry sherry and Rivella.

Other cheeses that I will bring include Stilton, Montgomery's cheddar, Lincolnshire Poacher, Mature Wensleydale, Red Leicester and the 2 waxed cheddars, Godminster & Black Bomber.

Excellent name for a drink which sounds (to me) to be guaranteed to be awful!!
The man obviously has humour.
