**A shameless attempt to bump this up the list because this really is the first time in Switzerland that an entire evening's entertainment designed to encompass all ages and tastes of anglophone has ever been presented in this country and on that basis alone I am abusing the system**

Please support these events, they will only continue to happen if the people they have been put together for come along to enjoy them!

Ardal O'Hanlon is doing stand up, but many non Irish, non Brits may not know him.
He's most famous for playing a couple of characters in sitcoms.

To give you a taster, here are two sample clips that I adore, that give you an idea of his most lovable charater Father Dougal, the simple Irish priest who really hasn't got a clue what's going on :

His stand-up will obviously be different. I saw him once and he was v.good.
The other comedienne Nina Conti I've seen before and her ventriloquism act is brilliant in many different levels.

Even the DJ, Brandon Block thinks he's a comedian and should be on the stage. Anyone who can wind up a Rolling Stone like this is okay in my book.

I was at the comedy on Friday and I think once the tickets ell out, that's it. There's no standing room available in Volkshaus unlike the normal venue last Friday.

The Irish barstaff from Paddy Reilly's had to toss a coin to see who could take October the 30th off to see Ardal and both Irish staff from the Shamrock are going.

Should be a good night out. :-)

This is so true; the line up would sell-out many London auditoria and we have them in an intimate location like the Volkshaus in Zurich. We should support these events while peeing ourselves laughing whenever we can make it.

Way cheaper than therapy!

I'm on row 18, seat 14.

Unfortunately, I didn't co-ordinate with anyone so will end up sitting with randoms, but hey, they could be absolute stunners!

Just a heads up FYI.
I just checked for a few friends of mine on availability and the middle section (mid priced tickets) when we are sitting, are almost sold out.
Front slightly higher ones are filling up.
Cheap seats at the back are still available in blocks for groups.
