Bump!

Finished building the stall last night and Rapperswil is looking suitably Christmasy and although damp is was pretty mild last night (compared to last year anyway!)

As well as the usual cheese, rarebits and Hot Toddies this year our local baker has made a big batch of Shortbread & Yorkshire Parkin - for those of you not from Gods own county, it's a rich sticky ginger/treacle type of cake.

See you at the market or for beers Saturday evening.

Anyone who, like me, braved the cold and the drizzle to go over to the Christmas Market in Rapperswil would have been warmed by the welcome given by our very own Grumpygrapefruit. His cheese is a sight for sore eyes and a welcome change from a diet of Bircher Müesli!

I may surprise the other half when that train rolls in. Given that it was 8 degrees and sunny at the start of the journey........I rate chances as "low"

Had a great first day, today I'll try and wander round and see some other stalls but I can recommend the Tibetan food stall, nice dumplins and the fresh chilli sauce is not for the faint hearted!

Pop by the stall in the afternoon for a hot toddy before meeting at the brewery

Well the brewery do was last night, but the market is on today from 11 - 6, we're in the Hauptplatz, near the steps to the castle.
