Just wanted to put this on the calendar, so it doesn't get forgotten about. This is the English Speaking Club in Bern.

You can find out more about them under this address. www.englishclub.ch

I wrote more details about it here;

http://www.englishforum.ch/social-events/6882-info-regarding-upcoming-aussie-kiwi-night-bern.html

Perhaps I'll see you there one of these times,

Ros

Re: English speaking Club [Bern]

Ahoy DB,

I've still not managed to move from the village, so it's still not convenient to make it to events in Bern. (That, and I have been spending quite a lot of cash lately - bills to pay and all). I am interested to visit the club and will hopefully be there sometime soon, rather than later.

Who is in charge of the website for the English club? The events calendar is two months old! Makes it rather difficult to plan to attend the events.

Hi there Blaze,

Know the feeling, just got my tax bill, as well as household/car insurance to pay this month,,,ouch!!

It's true the events calendar is out of date (don't know who is in charge) but if you click onto the newsletter, you will see the latest happenings posted there.

Sorry, should have noticed and mentioned that before.

Hopefully we can meet up there at some point in the near future.

Re: English speaking Club [Bern]

I moved this from Social to Commercial events as the club charges membership fees.

Social events are more for events organised by EF members like dinner, movies, drinks, on a smaller, informal scale.

Good luck with this event.

~ Nanda.

Re: English speaking Club [Bern]

Hi Nanda, oh dear, this thread is having a difficult birth isn't it!? Thanks for all the help (links not working etc).

On re-reading your sticky, I see that it does come under this catagory,,, just want to say, that it isn't compulsory to join.

I'm not even a member myself as a matter of fact.

Just wanted to let it be known that it's there.

Thanks again Nanda,

Ros

I am in charge of the website. Strange you thing the page is outdated. There is always a newsletter on the site which is valid for two month: http://www.englishclub.ch/?page_id=7.

Also you get after every event the next event published. This is usually two weeks in advance: http://www.englishclub.ch/?page_id=6

Also if you are signed up for the Newsletter you get the two month planning sent by mail and you get reminded 3 days in advance of the event.

Also you can add the rss feed to your rss reader: http://www.englishclub.ch/?feed=rss2

I hope this answers your question. For any input just contact me.

Regards, Nik

Re: English speaking Club [Bern]

Hi,

I do get your email Newsletter now. Have not had time to go along to any events though.

Maybe when I looked at the website before I was not looking properly.

Anyway, thanks for the info!
