Traditional English Brunch which ranges from Eggs Benedict, pancakes, omelettes, Eggs( Sunny side, over easy,or well done style ) with steaks, Cereals.etc.,
hmm...sounds remarkably like a traditional AMERICAN english brunch to me...

traditional english for me would be fried egg, fried bread, bacon, sausage, black pudding, baked beans, fried chips, big mug of tea

True, without bacon and beans it can't be called traditional British, plus we don't generally eat pancakes for brekkie, that's definitely a US thing.

However 16 chuffs sounds very appealing either way (i'm presuming it's all you can eat buffet?), and I may well be tempted tommorrow morning if the pool night turns into a late one.

isn't brunch an american invention? To me, you are describing a traditional english breakfast. And as it is an irish pub, shouldn't it be offering an irish breakfast to be sure?

Eggs Benedict doesn't really belong in a buffet.

So, it must be a buffet + ALC or just ALC.

No, from my understanding it sounds like a la carte, with 16chfs being the average for a hearty order.

Re: Starting Brunch @ Mc Gee's Irish Pub, Zurich every weekend

Ahh ok I misunderstood, I thought it would be a "load of things laid out, dip into each" kind of brunch from the way the stuff was listed.

Alas, I think I shall stick to the more traditional English breakfast fare of Oliver Twist and O'Reillys et al.

Bohemia, a Cuban influenced restaurant/bar offers one of the best brunches in Zurich - pancakes, English breakfast, omelettes and the likes. Whats your point? I am pretty sure that the full English breakfast will be on the menu and the Irish one isnt too different in its main ingredients, like bacon rashers, sausages etc. Its a little harsh to be judging from just a PDF poster, without seeing the entire menu dont you think?

Nick, I suggest you post the menu with prices on here. Might clear up a lot of the questions and pre conceived notions. Looking forward to checking it out and straying from my usual Sunday Bohemia routine

If it's ideas for an Irish breakfast you're after, I might have a modest proposal...

Do you mean an Ulster Fry? Or simply a continuation of whisky?

(Oops . . . missed the Swift reference)

That's scary if that's one of the best brunches in zurich.
I've eaten at Bohemia, the bagels were stale, pancakes terrible, coffee was lukewarm, omelette was very average. Pretty overpriced for what you get for the money. Overall I found Bohemia very disappointing. Not sure how Cuban influenced it really is, I don't see any beans and rice on their menu, nor any cuban style roast pork. Guess a few pictures on the wall make it "Cuban"
