British style Sausage and Bacon.

I've been selling dry cured back bacon, made by an English chef here in Zurich for a few months now. He has now just delivered his first batch of Pork sausages. I had them for breakfast Sunday and they are very meaty and hardly any fat ran from them.

Price for the sausages is CHF 35.00 / Kg. They are frozen and vacuum packed in 4's and 6's.

If they sell well enough he will expand the range to make a herby one, pork and leak and maybe a pork and apple.

We only stock them at the Viadukt Markthalle in Zurich, trams 4 and 13 stop outside at Dammweg.

I guess I'll have to start stocking brown sauce soon too .

Four of them sat in a spicy casserole before my lunch today. Now there are only two. Very tasty.

Original blue Yorkie and original flavour CANS of lucozade and you'll have a few new weekly customers. Can never find Lucozade in Orel Füssli anymore, and the London Store in Zug is as reliable as our weather back home, if even still going.

Is that the Yorkshire Blue cheese? I do regularly stock Swaledale Blue. No space for Lucozade though, I thought Jelmoli stocked it (as well as britshop.ch), and I heard that the London Store had been closed down.

Re: British style Sausage and Bacon.

Just yesterday I was telling my German housemates they need to taste some 'real' sausages . I hope to come visit you soon...I probably won't be able to resist a nice bit of bacon either, or some good British cheese. This could turn into an expensive trip.

Good stuff GG, will have to stop in and pick some up! In the absence of HP, I might see how well spicy chutney works on a sausage and bacon butty....

Can't even bring myself to try the blutwurst here - just doesn't even look the same ..... more limp than a semi- , not properly sheaved, with the girth of a weenie ...... and probably lacks the correct spicing and fat lumps.

Yeah, but my point was that GG said he might have to start selling it - so til he does, I'll take a chutney instead

Re: British style Sausage and Bacon.

Damned shame I missed the original post, as unfortunately Grumpy is no longer stocking bacon and sausages dues to low demand.

Can anyone recommend an alternative source for UK style sausages (preferably Kanton of Zuerich)?
