Thinking of Applying to University in England?

Applications to British universities have risen by more than 5% this year, with many universities having to reduce the number of offers they make due to cutbacks in funding. As average grades increase, and the competition for the most popular courses intensifies, universities are increasingly turning to other methods in order to distinguish the best candidates.

As a result, entry places to Britain’s top universities are now often being decided by Personal Statements, Interview Skills and Entry Tests.

How do you measure up to the competition?

In exactly the same way that only well marketed products are successful, acceptance to a top British university now hangs mainly on how well you can market yourself to the admissions tutors…

The bad news: Students at leading British schools have access to specialised CV-workshops, entry-test preparation lessons and mock interviews with alumni from their chosen university and course. They have a massive advantage over even the most intelligent foreign candidates.

The good news: An experienced gap-year student is offering private tuition (1 on 1 or small groups), which will fully prepare you for all aspects of application to a British university!

• Oxbridge application, interview or entry test preparation from an experienced interviewee who received the top score (90.4%) in the 2010 TSA entry test!

• Personal statement writing help, including tailoring to individual universities, from a successful London Imperial, Edinburgh, Leeds and Exeter applicant!

• All other questions about the application process quickly and professionally answered!

For more information and references, please send me a PM for my email/phone number.

Thanks and best regards,

Louis

To drink 10 pints per night and only attend afternoon lecturers, then every few months go on a riot in london without really knowing or understanding why.

No joke... I know from first hand experience how hard it was this year, and can only count myself lucky that I won't have to go through the whole process next year!

You might also be interested to learn as of next year, I will (unfortunately) have morning tutorials four times a week, and afternoon lectures every day. This is the norm for my peers and I, and could perhaps be one reason we don't defend ourselves well on internet forums mid-afternoon.

Either that or we are too busy trying to earn money to afford a 70 Beer/week lifestyle, and the ensuing medical bills it causes...

Yep I will be... but that isn't necessarily where I will be when (providing Bigblue2's summation of my lifestyle is accurate) my liver fails in 20 years!

I really don't understand the hostility older generations display towards students... many of you were once in exactly the same boat!

Besides, be kind to us: We are the ones you have left to a lifetime of high taxes in order to pay for your pensions

Re: Thinking of Applying to University in England?

Haha my apologies, I wasn't intending to direct that at you personally, more of a sweeping generalisation. (And as everyone knows, all sweeping generalisations are always correct! :P)

Just thought I would offer to help out any foreign applicants who deserve a place at an English uni, but would otherwise miss out due to an unfair disadvantage! TBH, am a bit surprised by the negative response I have received... if i was just trying to take people's money for nothing, I would just say I was a nigerian prince looking to deposit 10000CHF in someone's account...
