Wine tasting courses in Zurich in English this summer.

A customer of mine, Steinfels, La maison du Vin, are hosting 3 wine tasting courses at their shop near Hardbrücke in Zurich over the next couple of months. As well as plenty of wine, they will be serving good nibbles including a selection of my cheeses.

From their booking form:

1st course “Introduction to major grape varieties” – Wednesday May 25th 2011
"We will taste different red and white wines of a single grape variety, emphasizing their characteristics and comparing them to each other. The aim is for you to recognize the major grape varieties and know what style of wine they imply."

2nd course “Swiss wines” – Wednesday June 15th 2011
"There is Swiss wine beyond Fendant! Let us show you. We will introduce you to the characteristics of the different wine growing regions and taste a variety of Swiss wines."

3rd course “Summer whites” – Wednesday July 13th 2011
"To celebrate summer in Zurich, we will taste a range of white wines, both sparkling and still. You can look forward to fresh, pleasant, easy drinking wines."

Each course starts at 7.00 (meet and chat from 6.30) and the price for each course is CHF 70.00 per person. Mention the British Cheese Centre and get a CHF 10 discount from each course.

Download the booking form and info sheet on this link.
