Sandwich bar in Zurich. What would you like on the menu?

We've just started offering cheese rolls at lunchtime at the Viadukt market, at the moment just Godminster Cheddar (a generous chunk BTW) with chutney and tomato for CHF 5.00. Next week we should also have Ploughmans lunches to go for about CHF 9.00 a pop.

But, seeing as I don't sell a lot of cheese in the lunch period, we're thinking of expanding to offer other sandwiches such as English ham and mustard (proper Colemans that is ) and Stilton with walnuts and grapes.

We don't have a lot of space for preparation but what would you like to see on the menu? (and yes, if I could get a supply Salt Beef I could run a whole stall just with that).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

I can tell you what I don't want on the menu - That random piece of egg and/or gherkin that suddenly appears out of nowhere when you thought you were eating a plain cheese sarnie.

Other than that I'm game for anything in a sandwich (tuna excluded)

Cheese and Onion w/w-o Chutney.
Large strong onions...

Cheese on Toast, with Heinz sauce.
(You have a heat lamp / grill ?, If I saw cheese bubling on thick toast, I would buy it.)...Especially if it had onion. Proper Big onions.

Egg and Onion. (large round slices, cut up finely)

Cheese/Chive/Egg mayo...all mashed up together, a nice thick paste...then add some onion. Large onions, finely chopped.

Rare roast beef with a scraping of horseradish sauce, tomato and lettuce please ... mmmmmmmmm ...

I'm with Slaphead, no tuna -- with or without beef.

There will not be a gherkin in sight, that's already been decided.

I take it you like onions..... yeah, crumbly cheddar with strong large onions with a little malt vinegar has already been thought of, we need the strong onions for the ploughmans lunch anyway.

Re: Sandwich bar in Zurich. What would you like on the menu?

Different cheddar with:

Branston pickle or tomato chutney or Heinz Sandwich spread (sorry) or Picalilly. Also, many people now don't eat bread so you could do a box with a chunk of cheese, salad, pickled onion, ham etc - like a Ploughmans but without rules. You could even do a boxed salad with nussli, a round of goats cheese (Rachel or similar), smoked salmon and a lemon for squeezing.

Grumps, what sandwiches could you make with that fantastic bacon you sell? It's the only thing standing between me and vegetarianism.

The bottle I bought yesterday says "limited edition" on it, so you will have to be quick if you want some.

Also new is HP sauce with Guinness, delicious!!!
