My husband is an experienced Swiss Architect (member of SIA, the Swiss Architect and Engineer Association) who has done much work in the past years with English speaking clients who live in and around central Switzerland.

You may have noticed that Swiss Architects don't tend to advertise, however for our community with so many non-German speaking residents I believe this may be of assistance to members wishing to build or renovate homes while able to speak their mother tongue, or language of work.

Most architects all over the world do not advertise.

In any case, www.swiss-architects.ch is a very good data bank for architecture offices all over Switzerland, the site is in English too (apart from the official languages).

I would advise you to get your husband in this site. It generates quite advertisement.

Yes that is correct. I know this as my Father is also an architect in Australia & we know many architects around the world.

The swiss-architects website is great (thank you) & I do know it. I will look into it further as I haven't actually looked at it for ages, however my husband has Swiss clients, but I always said to him I thought it would be great to offer this service specifically to the expat community, as he married one of them : )

Thank you both. We are looking to build our home in the next 2 years so this has given me lots to look at.... I wasn't getting very far googling Swiss Architect........ If I was trying to build an office building there are a heap of people but a house... thats another story
