Hi all,
I thought I'd share with you the wonderful work done by a dear friend of mine, Isabel Garreton, who is a talented fashion designer and a great woman with a big heart. And yes, I confirmed with her on the phone a few minutes ago that she ships internationally.
20+ years ago, in Los Angeles, she started her own company as a non-profit, to provide the women of a community in Santiago, Chile (her home country), with otherwise unavailable job opportunities. She designs children clothing (girls only - when I asked her why, she said "because I only have daughters and I know what looks good on them, no idea about boys..."), sources the best materials from all over the world, then clothes are manufactured in Chile, where her employees, talented seamstresses and tailors and often the sole breadwinners of big families, receive salaries that allow them to fully support their loved ones. Then the dresses are finished at her establishments in Los Angeles, and sold in the US and worldwide.
You can read about her story and see some samples here:

Recently, she also opened a new line of wonderful scarves, "It's a Twist"

I already ordered mine and can't wait for it to get here!
I don't work for her nor have any personal interest in her business, other than the fact that she and her family are dear friends, almost family to me. Furthermore, I have visited her manufacturing plants in Chile, her offices in Los Angeles, and I have been in her home when she was personally creating and choosing fabrics and details one by one. I have met and talked with her employees and their families, I vouch for her without hesitation as I believe in her product and her vision and what she has accomplished. Not to mention that her products are top quality and extremely fashionable.
So if you feel trendy today, perhaps you want to check out her websites...
