I'd rather starve ! | | | | | I have never done it on purpose, I just notoriously overcheduled, with all the classical and band gigs, 2 jobs and weekend shifts, and honestly, fasting does make you really be aware of how your body work, it is a really good experience. You read your cues and you are forever treated of any kind of weight problems, since you don't fear hunger cues. Most people panic at hunger cues, but when I am super busy, and then eat, it's sooooooo nice. Like with any other abstinence. Sorry, this is in a wrong thread, heh. And I am trying to actually put on weight these days, so...just sayin'.

Anyways. I really really miss my friend's vegan scones. Though, I cooked with preschoolers the other day, and we made some awesome butter ones, so nice with lemon yoghurt and strawberry jam....ooooh. Scones and Marmite are the best UK inventions.
Jaysus, 2 more hours of not eating, I am gona diiiieeeeeee

| | | Re: British food coming to Gland At last; for those of you that live nearby. Finally and with no standing on ceremony, Jim’s in Gland will open on Friday 20th January at 33, Ave. du Mont Blanc. We now have the blessing of Lausanne and Gland and we’re just about ready to open. The opening hours will be Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 5pm and closed on Sunday & Monday. As the area is considerably smaller than St. Genis, we have made a considered choice of products to begin with but we will operate on the same basis and will be glad to bring in anything that you want that we don’t have. This will depend on availability and possibility of importing to Switzerland. There is quite a difference in the cost of importing to Switzerland compared to France with a heavy customs tax on some goods, such as bacon & sausages, butter, crisps and a few others. Initially, we will not stock fresh food but we do have the freezers well stocked and, with time, we will introduce chilled foods. Hopefully, for those of you who live in the Canton of Vaud and beyond, it will provide a little corner of familiar goods and friendly service. We’re certainly looking forward to welcoming you there. In St. Genis on Thursday we are expecting a delivery of fresh bread and crumpets– one day we hope to have them in Gland as well. Hope to see you all soon – wherever! One of the guys who works there said it's really small though so the extra few kms over in to France may still be necessary for us if the don't stock what we like in Gland. It won't actually save us much time I don't think.
