| | | Crumpets, Muffins, Rock cakes and other guilty goodies now at the Viadukt.
The last table on the British Cheese Centre island has been rented and it's full of hand baked goodies. Annette is Swiss but grew up in the UK and has a love affair with home made British foods. Today she has Chocolate Fudge and Apple & Cinnamon Muffins as well as mini Rock Cakes. Tomorrow and for Saturday she will be bringing in freshly baked Crumpets (that's the English variety that need smothering with butter) as well as fruit cake and Cinnamon bread.
She will have lots of other things on offer in the coming weeks, if you have any requests, please post them here.
I'm going to suggest that she might think about offering some free tastings for this evenings drinks.

Just polished off half a chocolate rock cake and half a plum rock cake  Both yummy and the chocolate ones are a nice twist on an old classic!
I can confirm that they work very well as a lunchtime Nachspiese after a Bagel
Now let's see how long the remaining halves last sitting next to me on my desk....

OH MY GOD
you're so selfish, what about my diet??? my daughter almost fell over this morning when I presented here with the delicious apple cinnamon muffin. now she loves her mum even more... and even her latin test this morning went reasonably well thanks to such a nutricious breakfast.
so I will be a regular shopper at anne's, too. even more amazing are her charming knitted decorations - you have to stop by and see them!
and one for grumpy, too, so he's not too jealous: we are at this moment DEVOURING the bagels in a completely unorthodox fashion: the raisin cinnamon one with clotted cream and orange marmalade on top, the sesame with the blue english "gorgonzola" - I'm feeling very very naughty, but nobody can stop me | | This user would like to thank venice for this useful post: | |
