Letterpress cards for special occasions

The day when (mythical) small naked children spout wings and start attacking unsuspecting people with arrows is almost upon us.

I never know what to do for Valentines Day. My husband and I have never celebrated it with flowers or presents. The most outlandish we ever get is with a good bottle of wine and a home cooked meal (prepared together). But we do leave each other notes and give heartfelt gifts at random times throughout the year. So I've designed cards that can be given year round and I will continue to add to the series throughout the year.

Designed to be understated but perfect in their simplicity, these petit cards (90x65mm) are perfect for surreptitiously slipping into coat pockets, wallets or handbags. Printed in letterpress on luxurious 400 gsm, mould made, 100% cotton paper with 12pt Universal light metal type and encased in a one of a kind red gum Microwood envelope to make it just a little extra special.

They're currently available at www.nexttonicx.com

Rather than continuing to create new threads for each new set of cards I create. I will update this thread.

Re: Letterpress cards for special occasions

Hello ladies and gents!

I spent yesterday reviewing my pricing and will shortly be updating my website to one coded in html5 to allow for use on iphones and ipads.

This has resulted in me reducing my Valentines cards to 5 chf per card and if you purchase two I'll refund the postage (within Switzerland).

Those of you who have already purchased cards (thank you ) will be receiving a refund of the difference within the next hour.

I'm currently working on rather a large project and so it will be another 2 weeks or so before I have new cards online. I'm hoping to increase my range by 1 card per week over the next year

Hey Nic, I visited your website and went through the shopping cart and the shipping selection, but when I try to click the blue box "I agree with the T&C - Proceed to Paypal Checkout" it doesn't go forward. I tried a couple of times and even closed the website and started all over again, but it didn't work. Website glitch or my computer?

I'll try to sneak my OH's computer later tonight and try from there, I'll keep you posted, but in the meantime I wanted to let you know in case it's the website.

Cheers!

EDIT: it worked on my OH's computer!!! The problem was with my PC I guess. Yay, cards on their way

Thank you for your order! Sorry to hear you've had problems with the store. I'll be upgrading to a new store in the next couple of weeks so that these sorts of hiccups don't occur. I've refunded your shipping and your order is going out in tomorrows post. I hope you like them!
Cheers
Nic

Re: Letterpress cards for special occasions

Only 8 more sleeps until Valentines day!

Have you bought your lovely lady or gent a Valentines Day card yet? How about one of these decadently petit pieces of pocket perfection designed for surreptitiously slipping into your sweethearts satchel (or purse)?

This Valentines day card is made slightly larger than a business card (90x65mm) so as to be covertly slipped into suit pockets, handbags or wallets and is encased in a unique Microwood red gum envelope!*

Printed with 12pt Universal Light metal type onto gorgeous 400gsm, 100% cotton, mould made paper.

*Microwood consists of a micro-thin piece of timber adhered to paper; this highlights the gorgeous grain, knots and smooth texture in the timber. Each envelope is unique like a fingerprint and so corresponds beautifully with the art of letterpress as each impression is also unique.

Hey Nic!

Your cards are amazing!!! The "I adore you" one, hidden under the little plate of a caffe creme cup, was much, much appreciated.
I am saving the Rhett Butler one for Valentine's...

Great work!

Please keep them coming, not only they are very nice, but the quality is super - excellent handwork!

Re: Letterpress cards for special occasions

I would like to tell all of you what a wonderful job Nic80 did for me - she helped me realize one of my longtime dreams: having my own, personalized, monogrammed stationery.

She was extremely punctual, timely in follow up, working closely with me to understand exactly what I wanted, gave me precious suggestions, and the final output was fantastic.

She used a very light blue cotton paper, cotton envelopes which she lined herself on the inside, and thank you cards. All envelopes and the paper have my monogrammed initials. I highly, highly recommend the work of this extremely talented professional.

Well, I love writing letters, and for the most special ones, I always thought: wouldn't it be nice to have my own special paper? There you go.

I do have strange dreams though, it's true. Right now I am dreaming of having a hibiscus-ginger freshly made juice like the one I had every morning in Ghana

I'm feeling really silly now but I can't find the cards on the link. Can any one tell me how I can see them as I would really like to?! Please and thank you!

I'm sorry I'm in the process of re-creating my blog. It should be much clearer and better laid out by the end of the month.
But for now here is a little of my work http://nexttonicx.tumblr.com/tagged/letterpress
