cooking with potatoes

Hello Everyone...

As a follow-up to our cooking with pumpkins book, we have decided to make our second book - cooking with potatoes also available for download. The electronic pdf version is available to all who would like it. As before, there are no payment obligations or expectations! If you would like, we are gladly accepting donations from you for as much as you feel comfortable in making. All of the funds we receive from your donations will go toward supporting the Pro Specie Rara organization – they are dedicated to preserving the cultural history of animals and plants in Switzerland.

To request a download link, simply send us a message: http://www.laughinglemon.ch/en/contact.htm

happy cooking...
Jack

Re: cooking with potatoes

Mmm, potatoes.

Get to the market and buy a couple of kilos of Swiss Bintje.

Dice - without peeling - into small pieces
Season with salt, pepper and a large handful of ground coriander seeds
Drizzle with olive oil or better still chili oil
Leave to roast for 25 minutes

Serve with a plump Bird and steamed leek.

Wooo I'm hungry...

No! Who, me???

Actually that line is in the wrong Thread. It should be under Haiku of the day:

To enjoy taters
Add coriander, chili
Serve with a plump Bird

Mash mash, quite a bit.
Stir in a spoon of butter
Ensure it's really thick

Potato leek soup
Dice potatoes, leeks and onion. Crush garlic. Saute all in Butter. Season with salt and pepper. Add chicken stock. Cook in low heat for 30 minutes. Once cooked, mash with hand blender. Serve piping hot.
