The Londoner in Kloten (near Zürich airport) was established in May this year by Alex and Sonja.

English is no problem when it comes to discussing hair styles.

We also have a beauty room where Sonja does Permanent make up, eyelash and eyebrow colouring, and lots more.
Sonja also offers pedicures from November 22nd 2007.

I have been going to The Londoner for both my hair and the beauty treatments since it opened this year. I find the team very professional and friendly and I highly recommend them.
Not only can I get my hair done, I can have a great natter as well as Alex is british. It is really easy to get to as just beside Kloten station.

I had tried a few hairdressers in Zurich town but I was not happy with the service therefore I am so pleased to have found somewhere at last!!!

The londoner charges 107chf for medium length hair. I myself find this very reasonable. As i said previously they do take the time to find out what you want, are very friendly and most importantly, do a good job!!! You should def give them a try.

I am about to travel to switzerland, but am really worried about using my straightener. The directions for my Chi says it cannot be used with a voltage converter (i'm from the USA), so is there a straightener I can get that will work, or could I buy one there? How much are they there and where would I get one? Thank you soo much!

I can second Ruols personal recommendation. I've just come home with a great new cut and colour. The salon is bright and airy and compared to many Salons, pretty tranquil.

Another plus point was that Alex spent a lot of time finding out exactly what I wanted, not just for now but in the long term.

You can buy a voltage converter here i just bought one for my pleo i bought from the usa, or you can buy straighteners here in the mediamarkt fust e.t.c. i bought mine from my hairdresser as they are professional and i can use them everyday and my hair doesn`t get kapputt as they have special plates.

I've just come from the Londoner - after all the recommendations I read
on here, and I have to say: wouldn't recommend it myself.
I had my roots touched up and a trim and it cost me 208 CHF.

A little pricey - but ridiculous when you consider: I had to re-wash my hair when I came home because although the hairwasher ran water over my head for 10 minutes, she didn't actually rub any of the dye off. I had to remind her that she hadn't even done the back of my neck as she was trying to put conditioner on.
And the stylist trimmed my hair whilst it was dry and styled (??)

I see now, that I've gone back into the forum that most of the reccos were some time back.
You won't die or come out with green hair, but I suggest looking elsewhere.

Both my partner and I go to the Londoner and we find the place very friendly and professional. Each time I have left the salon I have been very happy with my cut and colour.

I would highly recommend it.
