Re: 3rd Zurich Parenting Fair

Hi Lob,
I think I've managed to post the event in the calendar. The Zurich Parenting Fair is actually non-profit. All the people involved (including myself) are doing this on a volunteer basis. The Parenting Fair Team is offering this "event" as a service to the English-speaking expat community. After doing 2 Fairs I said I've had enough, and then I get suckered back in again - but this time I'm only doing the financial part and the advertising stuff as best as I can. - D.H.

Re: 3rd Zurich Parenting Fair

Hi DH,

Fully understand the idea that nobody makes any money from the event, but exhibitors still pay for a table, and they have a commercial interest to exhibit there. We applied a similiar rule for the expat expo. So non-profit doesn't always mean non-commerical. Same rule for "charity events" - if the public has to shell out some money (which they don't in your case), then it's commercial.

By the way - the idea with the calendar is not to repeat the text of your ad, it's more to provide a link from the calendar back to your discussion thread so people can ask you questions / discuss.

I've also altered the subject line of this thread to reflect the date. Next year when your event happens your post will be way down the list, and unless the date is clear on the subject line, nobody will click it.
