What is Pilates??
Pilates is a body conditioning exercise routine. Its main focus is to rebalance muscle groups, thereby improving muscle strength, increasing flexibility and co-ordination. Due to its incredibly adaptable nature, all exercises can be changed to allow people of all ages and abilities to take part. Pilates is often used for rehabilitation of spinal injuries, back problems and many other discomforts.
Pilates has recently received much media attention and many of you may have joined a group class offered at a gym or had private training elsewhere. Or you might have heard about it and would like to experience Pilates for yourself.
