I guess the dental stress reduction must start with reasonable prices, so if this guy has the best, guess he must be cheap.....kkkk

Dear sir, you may have read my horror stories regarding a rogue dentist and then I ended up spending duplicate amount of money for another treatment.

I am no stinge, when coming to tooth care, but I am very afraid of perceived high prices of swiss dentists (I got bitten already).

I still have toothache in my "fixed" molar tooth and I believe further work is needed. I feel pain when I bite down, but brushing the molar is no pain at all. (Root canal? = $$$$$)

I am very familiar with Nussbaumen (I lived there 5 years).

What would you say to convince me to come to you for a look-see and perhaps a checkup. If you are what you say, gentle and perhaps within a reasonable price range, I'd be happy to bring me and my family to your practice.
I am even considering overseas (maybe Germany or Spain) for this treatment. But this is because of my perception of the high prices.

What say you?

Dear Sir,

I read between your lines, this was purely an advertisement avenue for you? I was looking for a more "human touch" answer like "come to my office, we'll have a look and you don't have to pay anything if you are not comfortable...." type of FRIENDLY AMERICAN answer.

I know and agree with most of what you wrote.

As I wrote, I am no cheapo. I understand your argument between overseas dentistry and local swiss "quality" dentistry.

You may have written politically correctly and stated some facts, however you did not answer in a layman way, how YOU are different from another Swiss dentist, who insists he is right, only I found out from Zurich Dental Hospital that he was wrong.

Every salesman will say his stuff is the best.
I don't disbelieve you, but I am unconvinced you are any different from the rest of the dentists, judging by your reply post. (pls unlock the CAPS lock)

SORRY.

Sigh....the search goes on...for a friendlier dentist.

Does England have Dentists? I certainly haven't noticed it.

May we ask how much you charge for X-rays and cleaning?

Dear Sir, your 4 short posts offer nothing towards establishing your friendliness or services, other than your word for it. The 6 stars rating for your establishment can be attributed to a single review. I'm sorry to say, a sample size of 1 does not wow-worthy make.

Re: Dental Services

since this is an advertisement i would expect someone with a dentist's income to be able to afford 20chf for a new keyboard.

and by looking down on all the people who don't speak German or are registered to a biased forum such as this wont get you very far either.

finally, shallow approach is to form an opinion by reading ones posts...whereas deep is to count stars on an internet platform

;)

cheers
Nik

Let me digest each sentence from you, since you chose to post on this forum.

I take a shallow approach? This means you take a deeper approach. I am unsure where you get this idea that I take/took a shallow approach.
A deeper approach means you are of higher order, and that you rise above others in times of verbal or written exchanges?

Evaluating reviews on the internet? I can concoct up "truths" that I landed on the moon, or I ate with Bill Clinton, using this simple tool called the world wide web. I can even get a medical certificate saying I do plastic surgery or boltox for the celebrities in Hollywood.

I am not asking for a "FREE" treatment and not going to insist on a free inspection. I only gave an EXAMPLE, on how perhaps one can give a good impression to others.
Sorry, but I believe you busted this chance on many readers here (me at least).

I think you have lived long here, and gotten to the point where correctness and money ranks higher than a good reputation.

This was a good chance for you to advertise your friendly clinic, as you yourself stated here.

Your response showed me otherwise. Although I did not meet you (you could really be a really nice friendly fellow from the big USA) but from these responses, I guessed you are new to internet forums or you are new to "customer service" where friendliness shines through with simple straightforward kind answers.

I summise, all you want is to get clients via your post here.

And also you do not wish to offer anything but swiss service, all at swiss prices, where a consultation will cost at least 100chf just for booking a reservation, and looking into my mouth for 2 minutes.

I think your work in Chicago for 10 years and 20 years here in the Swiss village, says VERY MUCH for your experience. You seem to highlight this.

Do I work for free?
I did not ask you to work for free.
I only asked that perhaps a friendly offer, to see my teeth or arrange some sort of appointment would be a friendly gesture. Or just speaking about possibilities, etc.

I think MONEY is very important to you, for you to react like this?

I said before, I am no cheapo. Maybe it seems to you I am, but I will pay for GOOD QUALITY service. Even just friendly ones.

Not just dentistry service based on your self-declared 30 years in dentistry, and some internet reviews written in German.

Your responses did not increase my perception of goodwill in you.
Sigh. My known american friends are NOT like you. Sad to say.

I wish you good luck in searching for customers. I am unsure how I can make myself want to try your service, based on these postings.

Sincerely, HAT

Re: Dental Services

On a different forum, (Baden Expats) Dr. Dehn was highly recommended by someone. However, what I did find very strange when I first visited their website some time ago was there was no English version. Where there is English, it's odd. When was the last time you had "Tropical Gel" to numb you before an injection. It's called "Topical Gel" by the way. You can even see the name on the bottle in the photo!

If you are looking for a dentist in Baden, I recommend the following:

Zahnartzzentrum Baden
Langhaus 2
5400 Baden
056 200 0303
www.zahnarztzentrum.ch
top left of the page is the language selector for English (or use this link to take you right there)
http://www.zahnarztzentrum.ch/index_e.html

I have recommended this clinic on several occasions and everyone has been very pleased.
There are plenty of English speaking dentists and dental assistants. There is also a receptionist who speaks English so you can actually call and make an appointment even if you can't speak German yet.
