Waiting for Winterthur - maybe Paddy's is interested? I'm rarely there but I'd go for a pie!
Hi Aussie Lisa...Winterthur will be starting early September...I met with owner of the Caledonian Inn 3 weeks ago and in process of putting forward a written proposal for us to clarify everything...A formality more than anything...

Also I had a quick chat to the owner of Paddys to sell my pies, she said they have tried changing their menu's without much success...not taking that as a definite no, I replied I'll bring some free samples for her to try...so a outside chance a paddys as well...

Thanks AP

Another one "waiting for Winti" here! Hope it will happen soon, but must add that I already took the opportunity to sample one of your pies at Caffé Bellavista in Zürich! Chicken and mushroom- delicious, and the pastry was really of the "melts in the mouth" variety! Looking forward to your announcement : coming soon to an address near you! Glenda.
Hi Glenda Jackson....
Appreciate you making the effort to try my Pies...and glad you enjoyed it...Thanks!
I met with the owner of the Caledonian Inn (Winterthur) and have basically agreed to start selling my pies from early September...Possibility at Paddys as well...will keep you posted when finally there...

Also trialled a Lamb pie with juniper berry & vegetables...keep an eye on that one for the winter...if you're a Lamb fan that is....

Thanks again

Re: Meat Pies

Hi, I also had the pleasure of trying four different flavours and they were all very good, it would be so hard to pick the best. So, if you want a good pie, get in touch with Andy!

Re: Meat Pies

Hi Guys,

To all those that live in, or close to Winterthur my Pies will start selling from Trivisano Markthalle http://www.markthalle-winterthur.ch/ from the first week of October. So all those keen to get stuck into a good pie and comfort yourself over the coming winter months Trivisano will be the place to go.

Initially Pies will be chilled in the cooled display cabinet to take home and heat up, however we are talking about getting a Pie warmer on the premises and will inform when ready.

They particularly liked the new "Veal alla Marsala" Pie, a rich creamy Marsala reduction (Port, Cherry) Sauce with slow cooked Swiss veal, this will be part of the first range, Beef Bourguignon, Curry Butter Chicken, Steak Pepper and one or two others will also be available.

if you guys would like to put forward a particular flavour you think would be popular, let me know... I always looking for exciting new flavours!!!!

Thanks & hope you can get down to Trivisano sometime soon...

cheers

Andy

To the Oliver Twist, for tonight's England game. And a pie. Sadly none available though!? What happened? And where do pie-lovers go now in ZH?

Sorry milesaway

The pubs in Zurich operate on a high profit margin which makes my pies expensive to buy...they work on a 200% mark up, stocking my pies are difficult.. in business its all about the bottom line... my Pies will mainly be there for the big Rugby matches. apologies for that!

Having said that, Bellavista Café on Ramistrasse sell my Pies and aslo "I love Leo" very close to the Oliver twist...and Koru Lounge in Jel Moli

Maybe get in the govners ear and persuade him to make pies a regular feature

Re: Meat Pies

If you had enough people would you consider a pie cooking course... where we some and learn to make our own pies and then eat them, or is it all a closely guarded secret?

Re: Meat Pies

Hi Andy ! It was great to see you at your pie- tasting on Saturday, I think it must be a premier for Winterthur! The pie I took home with me for Sunday lunch (beef burguignon) was very good and much appreciated by all my family but it disappeared so quickly that I really should have bought 2 or 3! I hope some other Winterthur EFers found their way to you on Saturday, Trivisano is a great store (they even have English cheese!). All the best; I shall certainly be getting in touch with you again. Kindest regards, Glenda.

Re: Meat Pies

Hi all,

A quick update about all things pie...may have mentioned this before but I'm officially selling my Pies through Markthalle Trivisano in Winterthur, for those living there and posting when I will be in Winterthur you're now able to pop into their store, also "Trivisano" do this amazing Rosemary infused ham, I always make sure I grab a slice when delivering, delicious! For those with any Gluten dispositions, I can now do gluten free pies, unfortunately it carries an additional 1 franc in cost per pie For people living in Geneva my pies are currently being sold to Holmes place gym cafe -Holmes Place rue du Rhône 50, 1204 Genève.

Online ordering is progressing nicely, not yet fully actionable on my website but I mailed out pie consignments for customers over Christmas, I essentially ship pies frozen, in a styrofoam box via A-Post to be with you that very next day. If interested about a delivery the easiest way now is to reply direct through this post. I'll then send you details of flavours and a cost breakdown.

For those living in the Zurich area, I will be teaming up with Mike from "The British Cheese Center" Wednesdays at Zürich HB, its the one day a week with multiple pop up market stalls, I'll be serving 3 hot pie flavours - Beef Bourguignon, Mince & Cheese & Spinach & Feta (V), Amongst all the cheese and pies are some quality British beers too. it's just the one day a week, so any support shown would be immensely appreciated.

6 Nations Rugby is coming up and "Meet Pi" meaning myself, will be at the Oliver Twist Pub in Zurich, for Saturday matches selling Pies. First games start 1st/2nd February.

Thanks for now,

Andy

Re: Meat Pies

Andrew has just brought his first batch of pies for us to try out at the HB market and they are delicious. Andrew will be here from 12 - 2 and from 6 - 8 (when we'll be serving them warm) if you have any special requests or want to make any bulk orders.

Re: Meat Pies

A big thanks to everyone who came to support "Meet Pi" @ Zürich HB yesterday. It was our very first time there, the Pies were completely sold out and your feedback was fantastic. Next Wednesday I'll be doing double, recommend to reserve pies (can have them piping hot upon pick up time) you can either Facebook me on "Meet Pi" or through this thread for reservations. Also a special thanks to Mike- Zurich's premium British Cheese specialist who's support was immensely appreciated.

Need your help!

Next Wednesday I'll be selling Beef Bourguignon again, which sold quick, so they will be well stocked, also Spinach & Feta but I am undecided whether I do a Steak & Guinness or Curry Butter Chicken....Let me know what you think and will put it to the vote.

Again, a massive thanks and see you again soon

Andy

Re: Meat Pies

Hi Andy,

It was good to meet you yesterday (I stopped by around 18:45 to pick up the two beef that Mike had asked you to reserve). We've just finished eating them and really enjoyed them. For our tastes they were perhaps a little herby. For that reason I'd vote for steak and guinness or even better steak and pepper. Either way I'd like to reserve two please. I'll even pay in full this time!

Cheers

Ian

Re: Meat Pies

Hello. Do you possibly make finger, apero sized ones? That could be used for part of an aperitifs course. While I think I can cook most anything, the time will be tight for an event I am doing in two weeks time from now, and was wondering what you had to offer.

Re: Meat Pies

Hi there,
Yes I do finger / apero sized pies, I have attached my flyer so you can get an idea of the flavours and the prices.

Also I can post out for next day delivery with the pies refrigerated or frozen in a Styrofoam container if living out of Zürich. Post & Packaging cost not included.

Regards,

Andy
