Meat Pies

Hi Everyone,

My name is Andy, I am the owner/operator of a Pie business called "Meet Pi" in Zürich which I established 6 months ago with my product selling from various locations in central Zürich.
I'm trying to raise awareness to all expats who love decent tasting flavoursome pies. As with any small business, I would like to request your support and encourage you to sample my range of pies (the proof is in the pudding, as they say) whenever you are close to any of these locations.

http://www.caffebellavista.com/
http://korulounge.ch/
http://www.pickwick.ch/
http://www.chaes-vreneli.ch/_en/ - (Spinach Chorizo Pie only)
http://www.andorra.ch/

More locations will be added in the very near future.

The pie flavours I currently have are -

-Steak & Guinness
-Steak & Pepper
-Chicken & Mushroom
-Curry Butter Chicken
-Mince & Cheese
-Beef Bourguignon
-Spinach, Feta, Chorizo & Egg (pastry less)....Healthy option
-Spinach & Feta

N:B Not all pie flavours are at any one location.

Pies coming soon -
-Moroccan Lamb
-Steak & Kidney
-Ratatouille

If you have any other pie requests, Ill be interested to here from you as I'm always looking for new influences. Also about to launch a Sausage Roll, which I want to replicate from my old school days in New Zealand. (trust me it was good)

I only use Swiss Meat for all my Pies, natural ingredients. I don't add preservatives or stabilisers...Just wholesome good stuff!
Originally from New Zealand and been living in Zürich for over 7 years, I know what a decent pie tastes like and believe there is a gap in the market and will endeavour to drive the business forward by producing a good tasting quality product.

I will shortly provide home deliveries for persons living within a 15km radius of central Zürich and will post details once fully conceived.

Some of you may have already tasted my pies, I did St Patricks day at Paddy Reillys & Australia Day in the Oliver Twist, if not, I hope you will succumb to my brand of comfort food that even the Swiss are starting love.

Appreciate for giving your time, hope to hear, or see from you shortly.

Please visit my website and will post pictures and updates on a regular basis.

Many thanks

Too far away, but if you were to provide a ready to go spice packet and recipe I would be interested.

Hi Tom,

Haven't established a "ready to go spice packet" and recipe is closely guarded...However I can look into a frozen delivery for you, but you'll have to cover delivery cost and min order will be 75.00 chf.
I have added a pie selection card I use for local business and I'll shave 20% off but must retain the 75.00 chf min.
Pies can freeze for up to 3 months.
This however, if I can find a suitable delivery service!

Meat Pies - Friday Testing

Hi All,

Yesterday was spent testing new Pie flavours, I'm trying to capture the essence of summer in a pie and think we may have developed one that comes close....Asparagus & Goats cheese, quite rich as the Asparagus is cooked in a cream reduction, but the freshness of the Asparagus gives a good counter balance with a added light touch of honey.
Were going to trial it next week at http://www.caffebellavista.com/ Wednesday, Thursday.

Steak & Kidney was also developed and will be rolled out at http://www.pickwick.ch/ Saturday 29th. This is in time for the second British & Irish Lions v Australia Rugby test match they screen live from 12.00pm.
Rugby, Beer & Pie....Perfect!!!

A couple more were developed and need work, but one due for Autumn release will be a Pork, Bacon and red onion confit. I will trial this one in the coming weeks, if favourable will produce in larger numbers.

Thanks & will update again soon

Andy

Re: Meat Pies

Hi Sutter,

Very generous offer, but Thurgau may be a stretch too far to bring samples to people I've never met before, obviously a great way to meet new people and find new customers, but the relationship building process would be happening little to fast for me personally, but thank you all the same.

However the business is progressing further your way i.e. I'm meeting with potential business's in Winterthur next week to sell my Pies, so we are gradually getting closer to where you live.

If in Zürich, drop me a line and would be more than happy to meet up in one of my sale locations where we can chat over some tasty pies....

Thanks again and trust you're your party will be a huge success.

cheers,
Andy

Thanks to all those that ventured to the Oliver Twist last Saturday, the inclement weather brought in higher numbers than anticipated which was good news for the business personally, as I initially thought fresh baked Pies would not sell too well in a rowdy, drinking, rugby environment, thankfully though, we done some pretty good sales.
This Saturday is the deciding match as its all squared up at 1 game a piece, so I'll have the oven well stocked with Pies, however with hot weather predicted and Züri fest in full swing, eating Pie indoors will rank pretty low on a lot of peoples agenda, but not to worry!

I'm looking to interact more directly with EF's, a good way to do that is to bake 50-75 of my mini pies, deliver to one of my Pie selling locations where they can sample at no cost, and let the pies do the talking. This creates good exposure for my location partner (as I think it's important to keep strengthening that business relationship) and win over future pie lovers....I would say around mid August would be a good time to do this as most are back form summer holidays. I will post more details in the coming weeks.

Our Winterthur locations will be confirmed in the coming days as I have some pie taste tests to pitch this Wednesday...I truly hope Winterthur is ready for Pie

Thanks for reading,

Regards

Andy

ps- pic of my frozen pies, so if wanting some pies I'm able to deliver just Wednesdays for now, starting 17th July if within a 15km radius of central Zürich - 65CHF min order + 5CHF delivery fee.
Pies from 8.50 - 9.50CHF 250-270g
Family Pies 26-28CHF 850-900g
Fresh or Frozen.

You've never been to Yorkshire, have you?

Pie, beer and rugby is a standard Sunday in Bradford or Hull.

When you head west of Zurich/Winterthur, let us know!

Do you actually have a shop, or you just sell your pies through those mentioned stores?

I tried to find out where the most convenient locations where, but didn't have much luck. =(

Another one "waiting for Winti" here! Hope it will happen soon, but must add that I already took the opportunity to sample one of your pies at Caffé Bellavista in Zürich! Chicken and mushroom- delicious, and the pastry was really of the "melts in the mouth" variety! Looking forward to your announcement : coming soon to an address near you! Glenda.
