Getting started
This course is offered by The London Teacher Training College.
Upon completion you will receive the LTTC Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language 20 hours
If I were contemplating an EFL course, I would definitely go for the CELTA certificate. It's a four-week intensive course offered in England, Ireland or Scotland or you can take the part-time course offered at a few places in Switzerland. Google CELTA and the area you're in for a list of schools.

olygirl,
thank you very much for this helpful info!!
do you happen to know which system (efl, esl, tesol) is in more demand here in switzerland?
thanks....
sounds good, only 12 places left yeah sure, it was cancelled due to not enough people and they are not even planning to do another course in the near future, which is a shame....
Will look with a different source as i found LLCT not to be much help when asking if there was another option for me they just said look at our website which i did......before asking for there help....shame really was really looking forward to it...
actually I am also thinking of doing either the T or the C course reinforced by reading about this on the EF a while back. In that discourse one of the threads said that the C is preferable in terms of qualification and demand, and as a result I have been doing some research on both.
The C course is usually a daily occurence spread over a month. This intense T weekend course does sound very worthwhile, but I'm not sure that 20 hours is sufficient in terms of qualification.
