genuine dutch peanut butter

On the offchance there are any folks out there who love genuine Dutch peanut butter, we have some jars of Calve Pindakaas at half price in our shop in Adliswil. It's reduced as the expiry date is april 08. Also some Gouda's Glorie Fritessaus (similar to salad cream) at half price as due to expire in March 08.

I would have said genuine Fritessaus (chip sauce) is more like a sweet Mayo.

Do you ever get Dutch cheeses in?

Cheers,
Nick

Ta for that, I've never tasted it !!! My dutch colleague is the one selling the foodstuffs. Sorry no cheese, only a selection of certain "dried goods"

Re: genuine dutch peanut butter

Sorry to bother - expiry that close is not good unfortunately....

On the other hand I have not yet hear of a shop that has Pindakaas (yum, nice memories ;-). Could you let me know the location of the shop (if it is one) and if the stock stuff like:

- Marmite
- Hagel (choc. as well as aniseed and vrucht)
- Schokomel
- stroopwafeltje
(spelling? all over)

There's lots more but since I can't go to Amsterdam every now and then that would be great to get it here...

Thanks already!

Re: genuine dutch peanut butter

Yes we are a shop, and it's my Dutch colleague that is selling the dutch foods. What I'll do is get a list of the things we have in stock, as I cannot even begin to remember how to spell half the stuff she has on the shelves. The Stroop though, if thats the sweet syrup for pancakes.....yes we've got that. We're closed tomorrow, but I'll post what we've got on Thursday.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm...... Pindakaas.......

I'm eating it now on delicious quinoa crackers, and it's really rather lovely.

I'd recommend it to anyone - get over to Adliswil now!

(Oh, and they sell books, too, which is nice...)
