Anything special on tonight? I have a newbie to Zurich/Switzerland, first night here and want to treat him to some good beers!
Sorry I missed this last night, there was no events on last night but most Thursday evenings there's a big group of English speaking folk who meet here.

Apparently and he's such a beer monster, it's best to be there before he drinks the place dry.

Re: The International Beer Bar - Zürich

Tomorrow is a public holiday but we'll be open as usual and we have loads of great new beers to try.

On tap rotating over the weekend we will have:

Trois Dames Saison Houblon, Berliner Weisse, Rivella Irish Red and Good Morning IPA (only 3% so a good brekky beer). Flying Turtle Pale Ale from Berlin and from Oedipus in Holland Thai Thai and Mannenliefde Saison and the amazing Storm and Anchor Belgian IPA as well as many of our usual favourites.

And new in bottles today:

Trois Dames Uebergrenade, Tropical IPA, Simcoe-Citra, L’Amoureuse and Fraîcheur Basilic. From Hamburg's Buddelship brewery a rather astonishing Spider Monkey Coffee IPA and from Falken brewery in Schaffhausen Adam & Eva Apple beer.

Have a great extended weekend!

Re: The International Beer Bar - Zürich

It's our 4th "Meet the Brewer" evening tomorrow night and this time we have Doppelleu from Winterthur who brew the Chopfab brand. There's an EF event here and a FB event here with more info.

The weather forecast is great so we'll have the big window open to amke more space. There'll be 4 or 5 of their beers to taste for free including Hell, IPA, Amber, Together and Trueb - Australian pale Ale.

Cheers!

Re: The International Beer Bar - Zürich

It's Kreislauf 4 & 5 today, where most of the fashion shops and art galleries around Langstrasse are opening and we'll be opening the bar today from 2 pm until about 9 tonight.

Loads of great new beers including Mystery Solved on tap, a fabulous double Belgian IPA from Bier factory Rapperswil.

Cheers!

Re: The International Beer Bar - Zürich

Our 5th "Meet the Brewer" event is next Tuesday 23rd from 7 - 10pm. This time "Bad Attitude" from Ticino will be coming up, not sure yet how many beers there will be to taste, but we're hoping to have their "Dude, Oatmeal Soda" on tap, sounds odd, but it's fantastic.

FB event page here

Loads of new beers in this week from Storm & Anchor, Trois Dames and 5 beers on tap (rotating over the next week or so) from Poland including Oto Mata Rice IPA.

And we are open every Sunday now until the autumn from noon - 11pm. Please note that Mondays we now close 1 hour earlier at 11pm too.

We have a few Belgian beers, the usual Chimay (inc Gran Reserve Magnums) but also others inc. Delerium Christmas, Guillotine, St Fueillien Christmas Ale (on tap today), Westvleteren 12 (my personal stash, not on the menu, only "under the counter" to those in the know), as well as plenty of Belgian Sours amongst our 150 beers.

Thanks! Here's a couple of pics of the window tables hanging from steel I beams (with our own beer bottle lamps!)

Wow! Well stocked
And the illusive Westvleteren 12, a beer I have heard of but never actually come across!!
I thinking a trip from Basel is on the cards

Re: The International Beer Bar - Zürich

I popped in for a swift one on Saturday afternoon, lovely place! I didn't realise that the owner was an EF user, despite finding out about the bar from reading on here.

Thanks for your hospitality and see you again soon!
