I am going to foucs on "The Veil appeal" and "Invest your Hips". Below the details for each course:
“Invest your hips"
each Friday, from 07/11/2014 until 28/11/2014 from 19:30 until 21:20 SFr. 220
This workshop directly addresses how to achieve the Arab nuance in bellydance movement. The focus is on hip work, truly starting to dance from toe! Climb, shake, swing and slide your hips with basic hip dance movements by learning how to include your legs. Topics covered will be foot use and placement, posture, kicks and turns. Make learning this dance fun, while creating awareness of each group of muscles, enhancing isolation and coordination. With movements stemming from the torso, hips and legs, it helps to develop a strong core and contributes to an elegant and upright carriage.
"The Veil Appeal on the basic dance"
each Wednesday from 22/10/2014 until 26/11/2014 from 20:30 until 21:50 SFr.240
Veil dance is one of the most glamorous and visually stunning genre of belly dance. We will learn and practice basic bellydance techniques, moves and patterns, associated with soft basic movement veil arm work, to get an intro to the mysterious and sensuous art of the veil and to lead to a choreoghraphy with it. This workshop focuses on the expressive veil language that conveys a wide range of moods - mysterious, romantic, celebratory, spiritual, meditative.. Dancing and playing with the veil is a pleasurable way to discover and increase your own creative and soulful form of self-expresssion and self-esteem.
The course takes place very close to Zurich hb station.
I recommend you to wear a top and tight pants to see how your muscles work with your knees. We dance barefoot or if you prefer to wear socks! If you have a scarf to put around your hips it is also nice; otherwise, many of them are already in the school and you are welcome to use them!
For all further questions, please, drop me a message.
Hope to see you soon!
Happy dancing! <3 <3 <3
