Re: Yelbis.com

Good luck with this.

I had a look at the site and I must say I don't much like having to register even to see the details of a job. To bid - sure. But how would I know whether or not I even want to register to bid if I can't see what I'd be bidding on? I understand why it's set up that way, but it doesn't work for me.

My other concern is that bidding sites such as this tend to have the effect of a race to the bottom on price. That's fine for the buyer initially, but not so good for the service providers and ultimately not for the buyer either if nobody can afford to work for the prices paid. Do you have a plan for getting round that?

Re: Yelbis.com

Interesting concept and I have actually registered. However, it might be helpful if service providers could enter information on a profile page once registered in order for buyers to see the full array of services offered if it's not one of the ones you have on the list. Also looked at a translation bid posted and although I don't do English-German (only the other way around), the details provided would be too vague for me -- subject as "Industry" does not tell me enough to know if I would want to make a bid or could even do it (some things are quite technical). More detail is required on the jobs. Good luck with it!

Re: Yelbis.com

Hi Guys

First of all thank you very much for your comments. We are committed to making this product feasible and practical for SMEs and their customers to use and we want to make sure both sides of the transaction process have a lot to gain from using us.

So to answer the above points:

Fair point. There is no reason why you shouldnt see the whole request without logging in. We will take action and change that.

Yes we do. Each supplier will also receive a rating from the buyer once the service has been delivered. Over time your rating will grow or decline depending on the feedback you get for how you provided your service. So if you submit a bid that is more expensive than another company but your rating is much higher its likely the buyer will pay extra as you supply a better service. In this way we can ensure its not a race to the bottom and good suppliers are rewarded for good service delivery.

Thanks for registering! The bidding process is anonymous so you will not at the beginning anyway have a need for a homepage within your profile. If there are services you can provide that are not listed already then click "other" and add the service.

Regarding the translation can you give me feedback as to whats missing? Thanks

At the moment we are in Beta phase and a few months away from a polished product. We need you our potential buyers and suppliers to help us tweak the platform so its delivering what you need to use it successfully. Its a fine balance for us to ensure its giving value to both buyers and suppliers. All transactions are free for now so feel free to register and use the site it costs nothing. Any info we ask for for registration can be found easily on google anyway. So please register, test the site out and let us know how we can make it better for you.

thanks! Keep the feedback coming!

For example, "Subject of the text" is answered as "Industry." This is too vague for me, as, for example, it was very a technical translation, I might not have the background for it. More detail on what the subject of the text to be translated, what industry (e.g., CEO message about quarterly financial performance? CSR initiatives, medical device performance, IT solutions, etc.?), target audience, where the text is going to be used, etc. would be very helpful.

Hi

I see your point. We are working on making the questionnaires as complete as possible. If you work as a translator Id love to have a chat with you to get a complete picture of what we need to add/adjust?

Thanks

Re: Swiss Small Business/Services Marketplace

Hi, You dont see them. Its anonymous. You post what you are looking for you receive quotes and then you can choose the quote you want and get introduced to the supplier. If you dont like any of the quotes you dont have to choose one.

This offers a level playing field. Going forward we will have a rating system for the suppliers implemented so you can see who has good reviews etc.

Cheers
