Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

Hi, I'm looking for an investor for a small but promising project in the interior design business.

Everything is ready to get started, I just need someone to believe in it (as much as I do) and help me with the production. I take care of everything else.

I hope this message reach the right person, or if you know someone, please spread the voice.
Thank you!

Re: Looking for an inverstor!

In addition to the question, how much, what's it for, it's a pretty big topic when all said and done. Appreciate that you're just testing the water here, but for anyone to seriously think about investing, you're going to need to share a lot more detail.

Also, and don't take this the wrong way, but spelling investor incorrectly isn't a great start. You might want to edit that.

Re: Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

Thanks for the replies and questions.
I just would like to talk about all details more confidentially.

Also, unfortunately I'm not an expert entrepreneur - I'm a designer with a very good idea, but with not enough funds to do it on my own.

So I'm looking for help.

Re: Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

not a very good pitch, I have a good idea give me 50k, ermmmm ok then.

reminds me of a guy on a motoring forum, had a very good idea to make van's hazzard lights flash differently so you knew they where hazzards and not indicating if you couldn't see both sides, he spunked £50k of his own money making prototypes and getting some made up patents etc, then asked the forum for more, within 20 minutes it was pointed out the laws for hazzard lights are set in stone EU wide, the market tiny, and he'd basically wasted all his time and money.

Hi LouiseD, I suggest you write a business plan and take it to a smaller flexible bank which is small business friendly. I am not an expert here but I would suggest you start with ZKB, Linth, Raiffeisen, Migros.

50K is not a lot of money in the scheme of things it means that as long as you can pay back your debt and capital you retain full control of your capital. In any case you will need bank services anyway like bank account, cards, etc etc so this may be your best port of call

Good luck with your business!

The reason I ask the questions is because there is a huge difference in "having an idea" compared to "having an idea, researched the market, figured out how you will sell it, prototype made, materials sourcing, manufacturing planned, pre-orders received, stalled waiting for cash injection for materials".

None of the above gives us away what you want to do - but all of them suggest you are taking the project seriously.

Re: Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

Well, this for me is a first attempt to spread out the voice.

I have a lot of experience in design, product and in the market, I've always been a regular employee, I'm not an entrepreneur, but I believe in my idea and I would like to get some help from someone that first like my project, has some money to invest on it and maybe helping me on the legal part.

It doesn't matter how much the investment is, the product is simple an not expensive, but I still can't do it on my own (or not without taking huge risks).
I can only try, do my best, spread the voice and believe that I won't end up like that guy.

If you believe in your idea so strongly - what have you done so far to make it happen?
Built a prototype?
Sourced materials?
Sourced production?
Researched the market?
Tested the market?

Why would anyone back you if you say the bit in bold? Especially if you believe in the idea. If you believe in it - and know it will work in the market it isn't a risk.

Thanks Dodgyken.
Actually I have all you mention in the first two lines of you comment. My idea is not "just an idea", it comes from experience, knowledge of the product and market and skills. I have producers, prototypes, logo, website.... But to go further I need some stronger base, to not F..k it all up because I finish my little funds.

And yes, I take my project really seriously.

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

Re: Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

just being serious for a minute, you're a newbie on this forum and so far your post have consisted of responding on free items threads, trying to sell some old clothes, and this

Who in there right minds is going to even respond to a post asking for 50k for something so vague, would you??

with absolutely no information at all about the product or yourself (other then you're a designer) you expect someone to handover a large amount of cash??

good luck with that

treat this site like online speed business dating. I know many people who started up businesses in CH via an initial post on EF.

Re: Looking for an investor - INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

There are some comments that don't even worth a mention......

For those who understand the purpose of my post, thanks for your considerations and support.
I think is quite obvious that I will not explain anything about myself and my project on a public forum post.
I throw the hook, gave a basic explenation, if someone is interested can contact me in private and I will be happy to talk about it.

I will keep searching and proceed with my forces.
Thanks.
