Gourmet coffee beans from Italy at www.caffedelbar.com

My partner and I have a passion for good coffee and for everything Italian.

Following our passion we've created an English & German website that we believe represents the finest gourmet coffee selection that Italy has to offer at this moment.

Our idea is that in order to find the finest coffee, one needs to look at the top cafés and bars of Italy. As Italy has such a deep, traditional espresso culture, the reputation and livelihood of its best cafés depends on how good is their coffee. They're so serious about the selection of their coffee brand and blend that one can be sure it will be a high quality option.

So what we do is visit the finest bars and cafés in Italy, we review them, find out what coffee they're using, then import the best of those coffees into Switzerland and make them available on our website. That's why the website is called caffedelbar.com which means in Italian "the coffee from the bar". Actually Italians say that the best coffee is "il caffè del bar", and when they're trying to get at home a perfect coffee they say they want "un caffè come al bar".

If you're wondering how we decide which are the finest cafés of Italy - we're using the specialist guide "Gambero Rosso Bar d'Italia" and go for the best rated cafés shortlisted there. So it's not at all just our own subjective selection.

Note: we mostly sell beans not ground coffee because beans preserve their flavour much longer, particularly after you open the bag. If you have a mocha or an espresso machine, or a full automatic one, you'll probably find that our coffee beans work very well for you.

Our website www.caffedelbar.com (English & German) is a combination of online gourmet coffee shop and travel magazine - building it was difficult but great fun - hope you'll enjoy the coffee and the reviews. We're very keen on getting feedback, let us know by private message what can we do better!

Finally, a free "Italian holiday offer" to the EF members: if you're travelling to Italy and wondering where you'll find the best espresso, send me your destination city by email at info@caffedelbar.com or by private message and I will send you some of the best rated cafés in that city or nearby. I love doing this, so don't worry if you have more than one question!

Cris

Hi, indeed one of the absolute best! We don't have it at the moment in stock but on the positive side one of our finest Italian roasters, La Genovese, does a beautiful Jamaica Blue Mountain.

We can potentially offer it, depending on just how quickly we get just a few more orders for it and the availability at the roaster. I estimate that our price will be cca CHF 45 for the 250g bag.

Thank you, let me know!
Cris
