Hey, I'm a Newbie. Just trying to share a discovery that was helpful to me at an affordable, public offering of tennis in this very expensive Swiss world we're living in. Apologies!

Being new is not excuse for bad manners. Open a new thread, offer that info there. I wouldn't consider living in Switzerland to be "very expensive", as I also make money here. I certainly wasn't saving more money when I lived in France or the USA.

We are trying our best to be competitive with lower prices and keep them reasonable meanwhile providing quality services and joy to our exclusive clients. At the same time we mustn't forget to be realistic given the costs of living. We are doing as the Romans would do, when in Rome

Hi, I would like to get some tennis lessons! I've played a handful of times in the past but still a total beginner.

I live in Zürich Affoltern and would like to start some lessons soon .

Outdoor tennis season is just around the corner. We are working hard on planning and rescheduling our program for spring and summer. If you are interested in weekday or weekend sessions please send us your availability and we will add it to our calendar.

Re: Tennis lessons during summer and winter season!

Due to rainy conditions the lessons are moved indoors to Schlieren. Once it is dry, we will come back to Hardhoff and Mythenquai again.

Re: Tennis lessons during summer and winter season!

Do you have any coach recommendation near Basel, could be France or Germany? English speaking. I am looking for a coach to stabilize the modern C loop forehand stroke I just learned. Thanks.

If you mean circle swing which is anyway all we teach and use in modern tennis nowadays then it's the way to go. Our good client is a member of The Old Boys tennis club in Basel and we can ask him about his current coach. Practically everyone who follows modern tennis should be able to stabilize this stroke. Other than that is classified as an old school.

could be the one you refer to. Just to be more clarified is that, the stroke will give some spins to the ball because the moment when the racket touch the ball, it utilizes the racket Head weight to brush the ball. If we are the same page, will be great to have the contact! thanks for your helpful reply!

If you are teaching same thing, are you far from Basel?

We are taking about a topspin forehand which is a modern stroke starting from racket held from top behind and the movement is encircling forward to touch the ball on a raise giving it a forward rotation. The strokes finishes with follow through. It's opposite to slice which provides a backward rotation (backspin). Something like illustrated below:

It's a very effective stroke on clay court used by modern players like R.Nadal. Personally, I use this stroke most of the time coming to me naturally and even have hard time to adjust to flatten my forehand.

If you are interested in furthering this technique we (my wife and I) offer our assistance in Wettingen/Neuenhof at preferential rates. It shouldn't be complicated from commuting point of view as you can use the fast train to Baden and then S12 to Neuenhof. The courts are opposite side of the railway track. For more details please contact us on: fadzimadzi@yahoo.co.uk
