Colin McVicar is making a batch of Chipolata sausages for us as I type and they should be here this afternoon. Many are already reserved but I do have about 15 half kilo packs for sale. Also, plenty of back bacon and a few boxes of hand made mince pies and some very special walnut and brandy Christmas puds left.
We're open this Saturday and Sunday from 10 - 6, next Monday and Tuesday from 1 - 6 and Wednesday from 10 - 6.
Saturday you can try our mince pies for free, and Sunday Jack will be here again with free samples of his delicious hand made, all natural pralines.

Just had some of Colin's Chipolata sausages for breakfast. They were excellent - looking forward to a few more breakfasts with them over the holidays. Also can't wait to try the sage and pork sausages and the mince pies that we also picked up in the shop yesterday. | | This user would like to thank dmk for this useful post: | |

I did most of my Christmas shopping (for others) at Mike's yesterday, which is kind of unfortunate because I really wouldn't mind trying the bacon or sausages with sage myself . Mike, I had a lovely time, thanks to both of you for your lovely hospitality (mmmhhhh champagne, mmmmhh mince pies...). Hope to see you at the shop next week!

Thanks everyone who came down, I'm open today and still have some mince pies which I'll be serving warm for free. I'll also crack open a few bottles of wine later and maybe a LBV porto to sip with some Stilton.
Merry Christmas! |

We won't be open this Saturday (Easter weekend) but will be open this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon for anyone wanting to stock up on some goodies for the weekend.

Tomorrow (Saturday 16th May) we're doing a bit of a Scottish cheese tasting. Isle of Mull cheddar (prob the best Scottish cheddar), Dunsyre Blue and the famous Lanark Blue (aka the Kilt Lifter). The Kilt lifter will be on special offer, 25% off on the day.
We'll also have a few bottles of single malt open to taste with the cheese - as usual, the tasting is free.
If you can't get to the shop, I'll be doing a presentation and tasting at Orell Füssli, the English book shop on the Bahnhofstrass in Zurich from 11 until 5 (or until the cheese runs out). There'll also be a few bottles of wine open to sip with the cheese.

it's Real Ale day at the shop today. Spiffing Ales have started supplying their ale in boxes, the ale will keep for 6 months (1 once opened) and is better IMO than bottled. We'll be stocking 3 & 5 litre boxes and will crack open a few for tasting today.
I also have one small Godminster cheddar left, more coming in 3 weeks or so.
