New food and restaurant blog, The Rambling Epicure

I have just put up a new food blog called The Rambling Epicure. One of my first feature articles was in fact about Cookie in Gryon, which I hope you've all discovered. If people have suggestions of other restaurants in the region, I would certainly appreciate them. I'm also interested in local products and in gathering local traditional recipes. Wine of course falls right in hand with the food.

I call myself The Rambling Epicure, but you can just call me by my real name, Jonell Galloway-White. We live mostly in Villars, where we have a chalet. My e-mail address is [Removed e-mail] or just Skype me at [Please Private Message]. I have Skype on almost all the time.

You can visit my blog on genevalunch.com, or by just Googling me.

Hope to meet some new and interesting neighbors who have the same interests as I!

Jonell Galloway-White

Where to buy Christmas puddings at the last minute

It's not too late to order Christmas puddings online, but there are only a few online shops that will ship outside the UK.

See http://genevalunch.com/the-rambling-...udding-online/.

Thanks for the link Jonell, you can also get Christmas puddings here in Switzerland this year. Globus are doing a "British Christmas" promotion and have a range of different types/sizes of Christmas puddings on sale.

Globus also sells Clootie Dumplings this year as well as plum pudding and the usual suspects. It is on the far left (near the wine) as you do into the food hall.

For those who live in isolated places but would still like eat oysters over the holidays, it is now possible to order them online and have them delivered right to your door.
