"Links to Literacy" offers motivating and fun English lessons to small groups of children from the age of four years who are competent English speakers. Classes will have a maximum of six children, thus offering an excellent teacher-pupil ratio.

"Links to Literacy" classes are taught by Annelise Dohr, a fully qualified and experienced UK primary school and special needs teacher. The UK English curriculum is followed with the key learning objectives taken from the National Literacy Strategy. Phonics, reading, writing, handwriting and spelling are all covered. A variety of resources commonly found in UK and international schools are utilised. Classes will be a serious place of learning, yet they will also contain lively elements which children will find motivating.

The classes will be of benefit to children who can already express themselves well in English. Many of the students are educated in the Swiss school system but the classes are also suitable for children attending a bilingual or international school who need a little extra support with their literacy skills.
