With the title in thought, who would possibly be (seriously) interested
in attending a sport photography workshop?
I have access with maximum number of persons to a football/soccer
match of the SFL (Swiss Football League) Challenge League this
Spring. Which date depends basically on my schedule and the amount
of interest shown here. If no interest, within a week or two, I will
offer it to the local market and the course will be in German.
Those "possibly" interested will not be held to their word. If enough
interest is shown here, I will organize a date.
Workshop will include:
1. Pre-game hands-on and comparison of camera settings, the
reasoning behind those settings and rules of engagement during the
game (two to three hours).
2. Entrance to FC Vaduz Challenge League game.
3. Shooting during the match and evaluation during the break.
4. Post-game final evaluation and experience sharing in the studio.
Each participant will bring:
1. Camera, lens(es), memory, power/akkus, monopod/tripod.
2. Seat (low profile) or box to sit on.
3. Transportation to my studio in Buchs SG (carpool from the studio to
the game and back) .
4. Hunger for knowledge and experience with fast paced and (mostly)
unpredictable sport photography.
Yes, the workshop will have a price-tag. Exactly how much has not
yet been determined. And yes, the workshop will be held come rain
or shine (there are places to hide in the stadium to keep somewhat
dry and still get some good shots. There are even tricks to keeping
your camera and lenses dry during a rain storm!
Payment will be made with your registration in advance.
Workshop/game date will be on a Saturday or Sunday and held in
Buchs SG/Vaduz FL. If you are interested, check the
FC Vaduz site
for possible dates.
Tip: I suggest fast dSLR camera and telephoto-lens of 200 mm or
better. Less than 200 mm will only be useful when the ball is within
30 meters or closer. I don't have any equipment for rent, lend or use.
Low profile seat is one where you sit low to the ground, there is a
reason for this... you can also stand if you want to.
Sorry, photo editing not included
