Re: British Pies have arrived

I'm not sure how this is going to work re. delivering to Zug. I live in Walchwil, canton Zug and would love to buy some pies. Are you delivering to 1 address in Zug or several? Please let me know if it's possible to get in on the pie action.

Do you know when will you be in the Bundesplatz, Bern?
Cheers
The event is on the 30th August. If you are aware of any other open air events in Bern I would be happy to investigate whether I can attend them. I have a small trailer with a large oven so that I cook the pies and sell them hot.

For the Bundesplatz event I am bringing a full size trailer from Purepie so that we can offer pie and chips ... the ultimate open air comfort food.

Walchwil is a little bit of dog leg for this run. The other possible interest in Zug is not around next week for an order, but if the interest is there I will do this again.

I don't like to deny anyone some pie action. It is really just a question of covering the costs of driving to and from. If you can rustle up an order for 10 pies plus then that would cover the transport costs. The pies will keep for 3 months without problems when frozen.

How about at or near the GurtenFestival in july ?

Probably tricky to get a place at the festival, dont know if you can get permission to sell outside where everybody lines up.

Hmm sound good, but would you mind posting the ingredients list (and any nutrition info, sat. fats etc) for say Steak and Ale if it's not too much bother? I realise I don't eat a pie for health reasons but just want to see what's in them.

These pies need to be eaten as part of a balanced diet ...i.e these are not the healthy bit of the diet ...

The contents of Steak and Ale are;

Steak (26%), Ale (4%), Horseradish (2%), Potatoe, Onion, Mushroom, Vegatable Oil (from Soya), Corn flour, Tomato puree, beef stock, beef fat, onion, carrot extract, celery extract, herbs, spices, garlic, modified tapioca starch, wheat flour, salt, colour(plain caramel), yeast extract, maltodextrin, glucose syrup, parsley.

I have no breakdown for fats, calories etc. I will see if I can find out more from the UK.

We tried for Gurten but all their pitches were fully booked. We will try again next year.

Thanks for the thought though.

Is there going to be somwhere in Zurich that you can buy spur of the moment? nothing better than going into Gregs and eating a hot cheese pasty out of a paper bag.

That's the longer term plan. First step is to make sure we've got the pie right.

You may be joking, but if want a bit of part time work (and not just for all the pies you can eat), then pm me with availability. The summer is looking very busy.

Or take a day trip to Meiringen. I can leave pies in h3d Geschenke on the high street.

Hopefully I will find a way to bring the pies to Bern.

Pie and chips for the great outdoors, pie and mash for supper by the fire ... shows the great versatility of the British pie.

Maltodextrin and glucose syrup! These are, in fact, Sports Pies!

Only joking. Sounds delicious and I shall be ordering some.
