British Pies have arrived

My first supply of pies from the Uk have arrived.

The main business is cooking and serving pies for fests, however if you would like some pies I can do small orders, if I can solve the delivery issue (I am in Meiringen). If there is interest I may be able to a Zurich home delivery once a week.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I can work on the logisitics.

The pies are 'purepie' from Kent and cost Fr8 each frozen (they are 250g so quite large). Available in Steak and Ale, Chicken Balti, Chicken & Ham, Lamb and Mint and Vegetarian.

Cooking time is 45mins at 185C.

I had to do a lot of testing for this project and I reckon they taste as good as they look!

And they do taste great. Were looking at how we might be able to stock them at our HB Market. Will keep you posted.

I guess it should be no problem stopping off in Zug or Knonau on your way to Zurich? If not I would definitely be interested in trying. We can start with 2 of each of Steak and Ale, Chicken Balti and Lamb and Mint.

PM me if interested.

Mmm, they look fantastic! Do you plan on making any deliveries to Suisse Romande? I really like the sound of the Haddock pie and the veggie options.

My tummy is rumbling already!

Re: British Pies have arrived

Thanks for the positive response and the very least I can do is to try a round.

I'm scheduling Wednesday next week as a day of delivery and yes I will go via Zug. It is now simply a question of logistics.

I will need the order, an address for delivery and a contact number. If you could indicate what time is impossible for delivery and then I can work out the schedule. I'll ring/email to confirm what time I think I can get to you to check that this is okay. If you are in apartment can you let me know if parking is nearby or not.

You can order by PM here or ring the shop (h3d) in Meiringen 033 971 2700 and they will take the details. (09.00-12.00, 14.00-18.00 Tuesday to Saturday)

For orders under 6 pies I think I need to charge a Fr5 delivery charge on this occasion as a contribution to transport costs.

Thanks once again, and I look forward to the feedback on your 'purepie' experience.

British Pies have arrived

Hello Spacey, I have forwarded the details as follows to a group of English speakers in Bern. swisscc@yahoogroups.com

There are British made pies available from a shop in Meiringen, BE.
http://tel.local.ch/de/q/?what=033+971+27+00&where=&cid=directories
You can order by ringing the shop (h3d) in Meiringen 033 971 2700 and
they will take the details. (09.00-12.00, 14.00-18.00 Tuesday to Saturday.

Manufactured in Britain, http://www.purepie.co.uk/pages/ourpies.html

They are frozen, weigh about 250g, you bake them in an oven at 185 deg C
for 45 minutes. Available in Steak and Ale, Chicken Balti, Chicken & Ham,
Lamb and Mint and Vegetarian. They cost Fr 8,-- each frozen.

Maybe we could ask him to make a delivery to the club on Thursday evenings?

No plans as yet , but I will be at the Paleo Festival in Nyon.

'Purepie' are testing a range of non meat pies at present. Once they have finalised the range I hope to bring more in ... subject to import duties etc.

I would be happy to make a delivery.

I will be doing fresh baked pie meals for Open Air Bundesplatz, Open Air Huttwill and Buskers Music Fest in Bern and I am also looking to take a place in the Christmas market with a range of pork pies that I am currently working the paperwork through Customs.

Thanks for forwarding the details.
