On a serious note OP. There were a few reasons the original calendar didn't work. It was originally conceived as a fund raiser for the forum after the tragic death of the Architect, I organised a fund raiser beer evening at the time which was well received as was the calendar idea at the time.
Unfortunately for Scott, when the calendar was finally printed and available for sale the forum had gone through quite a traumatic period with rumours of commercial take overs and even complete closure. The calendars were also a tad pricey.
In my opinion, there were only 2 photos that really worked well, and they both involved animals, indeed most people I spoke to said they thought a calendar of EF members pets would have sold better.
I for one find the idea of a calendar of my EF friends and others on my office wall a tad creepy and I think most people would agree. What I suggest would work much better (and would be free to everyone) would be for you to publish the photos on-line (here or elsewhere) and to make it fun have some sort of competition. Maybe keep the photos anonymous but have the poses, locations or props giving clues as to the identity of the EF member.
Just my 2 raps.

I kinda agree on the creepiness factor. I didn't buy one, but did appreciate how the forum pulled together to do something.
From an inspiration perspective, MaryThomi need not take past shortcoming as indication of how her project will turn out. She could as well learn from previous mistakes.
Mary, I suggest you publish the calendar on a Just In Time calendar printing site like Snapfish or something instead of paying the printing costs upfront.

Even though my Calendars will be sp awesome they could easily cost 45CHF, I would not drea of charging so much. In my mine the maximum price was 25. I would be interested to know how many got sold. I think it would be a shame if it didn't fly.
I want to reiterate that
a.) I have not seen the original, save for the front cover which was rather lame
b.) As I have not SEEN the other calendar I can't say for sure that mine will be better, but judging from your comments, I am relatively certain it will be.
c.) I do not know who the creepy ginger is, I don't really care what he thinks of the idea of me making such a calendar
furthermore....I still do not regret this idea, though I am taking each of your critisisms with a grain of salt.
As for creepy.....it will be aboutas creepy as the bäuerinnenkalender. You probably arent friends with all 45 000+ members on here so the chance that the 12 who make the cut are your friends are slim. That may help to make it less creepy.
finally: I've had some really hot babes and a great photographer apply so far, and I wouldnt want to let them down!

Of those small few - who would be your pool of candidates - chances are that everyone will know who they are.
However, I would suggest you contact the commercial owners of EF before you think of trying to do anything in their name.

Seriously, it could be a lot of fun and would allow those EF'ers with curves and muscles in the right places to show off. I just wouldn't buy the photos as a calendar.
(I would though, probably have a quick peep and a giggle at them on-line )

As much as I have seen some rather attractive EF'ers here in Basel, I can not imagine owning pictures of them unless we were doing an activity together.
So, for me, I agree with Grumpygrapefruit... no matter how attractive they are, a calendar of folks I vaguely know hanging on my wall is simply not going to happen.
Snapshots in my FB album are a different story though.

Totally missed this thread, and feel totally left out from the gossip!
Was there actually made a Calender once? I always thought this was just a joke? Did a search for it, but didn't find anything
And who is this creepy ginger?
