Hairstylist Basel 20 years experience

I am a hairstylist in Basel, just getting started here. I have 20 years experience and I am looking for English speaking clients. I am only cutting hair now, but will soon also be coloring and highlighting. I owned my own salon in Atlanta Georgia for 8 years and moved to Basel to marry my Swiss partner of 7 years. I am still deciding on the best salon as I have a few to choose from. One is in Zurich and 2 are here in Basel. Would appreciate any help I can get. Barry Cook

Re: Hairstylist Basel 20 years experience

I had a feeling about hair salons for some time but since this thread started I've been counting - I know of 5 new salons that have started up on my way to work in the last couple of months. All salons on my route (17 of them) appear to be busy. It costs my wife 100 CHF to step in the door of one of these places (she uses an English speaking guy).

So I think such a business appears to be a viable option for Switzerland - looks like there is always room for one more hair salon.

I do have Friday appt.'s but have no availability until Oct. 14. I stopped taking new Saturday appt.'s since 1 1/2 years now as I stay 10 weeks + booked for this day and only work 4 hours when I do work on Saturdays. I will eventually phase out Saturdays and am only working every other Sat. right now.

Re: Hairstylist Basel 20 years experience

Barry, it seems that you are really busy. That is great. However, I will need an apointment before the 14th. I will see my current hairstylist this time, but will probably book an appointment with you for the next visit. I have my hair done every 2-3 months. I am interested in going to you because you worked in Atlanta. I am origianlly from Tallahassee. You may be familiar with the styles that I like. In fact, when I was living in Manhattan, I saw a woman who had great hair. I asked her the name of her stylist. She said that she went to Atlanta to have her hair done.... funny.

Have a great day.

Lucy

Perfect! After almost 5 years being away from Atlanta, I still have my clients emailing me that they miss my hairstyles. If you would like to pre-book something for 2-3 months out that is possible. Please email me at hairdesignbybarry@gmail.com for an appt. I look forward to meeting you!
