..I've got two humors already, ain't that enuff?
But you know that having two humors is forbidden in Switzerland. You are suspicious if you have only one. But there are specialized clinics where you can have your humors removed. Ask the next SVP Regional Office for further details.

Yes. They are just chemicals in a can.

Every time someone uses one, I have to open all the windows to get rid of the stench.

You're right. I took one with me to Beijing last year and hung up the little "pine fresh" christmas tree on a flag pole in Tiananmen Square. Within hours, all the pollution had gone and you could see the beautiful blue sky.

Re: Smoking on the train platforms.uughh

Jus to share something...

Week ago when I went to Vitis sport's centre for regular night session of tennis with my wife (I just felt like relax after long day at work and get a healthy dose of exercise so that I can sleep like a baby). There usually aren't too many people there so it is more affordable and less crowds. I went to the bathroom upstairs (where James Blunt's music is played on regularly ) to fill up the bottle with some water and I almost puked. The entire place size of two by three was stinking with cigarette smoke, seriously so bad that you smelled it like someone must have lighted up few minutes ago and just left. Not only my lungs were suffering this instntenous excruciating pain of sudden poisnous breath-in, but fresh shirt and shorts out from the laundry with aroma of fabric softener/freshener (my wife's speciality) all were ruined by this stench in seconds and I felt like vomiting.
It was so bad and distinct that when I got on the court my wife asked me "since when you started smoking". Common people you come to do the sports and contradict yourselves!

There is small smokers area with ashtray outside there by the entrance as well and it is always full of cigarettes butts like candles on cake saying 100 years old . I would rather have these "sport's people" use it instead of contaminating the public toilet.

..but I would like to make a distinction. I've been a strong anti-smoking advocate on this thread...but it's the ciagerettes that really bother me...cigars and pipes don't have that sharply pungent, penetrating stinge that cigarettes have.

I don't get this with people into sports. They are fit, in shape, eat healthy and everything, and you see them smoking! It is as weird as seeing a pregnant woman smoking, a mother holding her baby with a cig in her mouth, a old man with an oxygen pump support in front on the hospital's door smoking.... Or my pneumologist who smokes!

Sure I do...but only when they're followed by a "puff-puff-pass" ritual. Jokes aside, nah don't like those type of fumes either.

It is in human nature to always reach for some kind of forbidden fruit . In analogy, the street scumbags will traffic the drugs just for money because they are desparate to make ends meet, but affluent members of society upon exploring all the pecularities of their "mundane" lifestyle they want to reach beyond accepted standards, relieve stress or resort to escape in form of a trip. In the same fashion, perfectly healthy individual would want to screw himself with some kind of the poison just for heck of it and will only realize it later when suffers consequences. It is like this hypocratic pneumologist who preaches the sterile lungs but does the opposite.

How come it's forbidden in every country I've visit except Switzerland?

I have also seen Swiss people filling their cars with petrol with a cigarette in their mouth. Is this not dangerous either??
Good Afternoon Ab doing well are we? Nice to know you're back in the scheme of things.

Been some time since we spoke about this subject but I'm sure if you use the search function you will find..probably x3 years ago or so.

"Putting out a cigarette in a bowl of petrol"

Yup that's what they taught my father on a welding course, where you learn to control these sort of things. Also people studying chemistry at university tend to take a interest in these subjects. It's about temperatures, energy and vapour, so if it's -5c outside highly unlikely the petrol station would go up.

Secondly it's actually extremely difficult to light petrol with a lit cigarette, so all the films you see are additionally wrong.

If you don't believe me try for yourself or I'll do it for you. (With a small amount of petrol I might add firstly. It's damn near impossible)

It's health and safety BS on behalf of the car park owners and unless someone dumps an entire petrol tank into a confined space it's very highly unlikely it will cause a explosion. Even then you could probably drop a couple of road cones and that would be sufficent to protect small animals and smokers

Lots of love as always Cat x

(p.s. some person has already tried it but I suppose someone has too)

Re: Smoking on the train platforms.uughh

I had the misfortune of having a very atracttive young lady sit next to me today on the metro, not normaly a problem other than the fact she stank of cigarettes

Its the the way they have to try and get as many drags on the cigarette before they get in the train that so sick, like drug addicts. Smokers stink fact, your breath smells and your clothes....

Also have noticed smokers are starting to flout the law, slowy but surely smoking in small bars, train and metro stations.
