You just don't see it from Ticino, Tom.

Anyway, I think the day is still young for a short depression, I'm going back to the boring stuff that I was doing.

Let's start with the impact of over population. Which isn't slowing down.
Wrong thread by the way.

Re: Please help get knie to stop using animals

I think i'll potter down anyway at the end of the month to see what animals they still have in the zoo part.

As long as no clowns come near me i should be ok.

Just read in Le Matin, they are retiring the Nellies next year. So i may be able to have lunch with them this year.

That to which i-b-deborah referred. I don't see it myself; it's rather pleasant where I live. The rest of the world though, not so much, I hear.

Actually, most projections have the rate of population growth slowing dramatically over the next 80-100 years, with the UN suggesting the global human population could even decline from around 2050. This is mainly due to declining fertility rates. Unfortunately, though, the region with the highest population growth rate is projected to be Africa, which doesn't leave much room for elephants to flourish.

One report/theory I came across the other day when researching something else was that we'd suffer a catastrophic collapse in population and end up with around 70,000 humans worlwide - probably the best thing that could happen as far as Planet Earth and all the other species who inhabit it are concerned.
