Argent....as a newbie my advice would be to just take on board EF opinions. You may not agree with all or some but no need to be insulting to people trying to help you. You never know one day you may need their help.

you started of well asking for advice and asking if the comment from a 70 old lady (speaking english I presume which is not her mother tongue - sorry if I am incorrect) asked a xenophobic comment by asking when are you leaving - ok fine!
people responded that maybe she isn't xenophobic but maybe her wording was slightly off and you may have read into the wording a little too much.
If she had asked: would you like to go home one day? do you enjoy living in Switzerland or do you miss your homeland?
to be fair - after 3 years here it's a pretty standard question I get for an ex-pat with no ties to Switzerland apart from a job - which I get asked from all nationalities and ages!

however, as you didn't like the response - you accused certain people of being racist - a little extreme me thinks - and hence a negative reaction!

I get asked quite often if I'm going to go back to the UK and I don't see it as rude. Just see it as people making conversation because as soon as I tell them I came over to stay because my girlfriend is Swiss, they just say,so you're here for good then!
