people are actually walking in the streets here blowing trumpets!

God, and I am not aloud to take a bath after 10pm...

It is Fasnacht-time ! Similar in many parts of Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the Elsass

and taking a bath ? Here I could take a bath at mignight .....
