Thomynaise...and similar products

I have become and avid fan of the thomynaise but I am still frustrated with the bloody lids..it takes me twice along to get them on...with more often than not dropping the dam thing on the floor.!

I don't think I am particularly cack handed...any one else have this problem..

(Also applicable to tommy paste etc..)

If I continue to have this problem I will boycott all Nestle products..!!

Buy it in a tube if you can't handle jars.

Jars don't exist for all products.....

Also...does everyone remove the plastic lid before throwing the empty tube in the recycling..?

Thank you ever so much. I just hope he's OK with jars, because I've run out of options now. Never seen frozen dollops of mayo, and squeezee bottles seem to be for regular mayo or tomato sauce only.

Why would you need to remove it? Surely it's off when you squeeze the last bit of <whatever is in the tube> out? Just don't put it back on

I would rather not have residual sticky mayo on my recycling bag. Even if you clean it some dribbles out as it warms up..

Buy a jar then... and stick in in the dishwasher before taking it to the recycling station.

What is Thomynaise?

At the bottom there is a Thomynaise in a jar. I still don't understand what it is.

It's a brand name for a sauce that has less fat than mayonaise, but looks and tastes vaguely similar.

Re: Thomynaise...and similar products

Yes I'm so glad someone mentioned this. My husband works for Nestlé and I've complained to him about the tops and he hates them too! So solution, I've switched to an everyday mustard we like better from Unilever called Amora (in the coop). And they have mayo as well but haven't tried it. An easy dispensable package. Although we are mustard freaks and will still get the Maille in the jar for good occasions.

Where's the trusty jar of Hellmanns when you need it. Seriously crave that stuff - other mayo is just not on par. And yes, I know, it's not real mayo in the true French sense of the product, but it doesn't stop me wanting it so bad....mmmmm

Ah. Well, OK. The very last entry on the page above is Thomynaise in a jar.

I'm not a fan of condiments in a tube either. But not because of the tops. I just think it's weird, like milk in a bag.
