This is a follow on from a thread "buyer didn't pay" a few down from this one.
I'm just wondering if anyone is in the area and, if passing, could check an address to see if the business is operating and looking legit.

Company name is HARA PICTURES. (www.hara-pictures.ch)
Addresses I have are:
rue de Sébeillon 9b, 1004 Lausanne
and
rue des Moulins 8,1800 Vevey/VD
Not sure why there are two.

Also the address I sent items to is:
Av de la Dôle 14. CH-1005 Lausanne
which i can't seem to find a home telephone number for, which is strange.

If anyone could help, i would be very grateful - please PM me if you can.

I live in Lausanne, i can check it for you. Besides, i have free pass and almost nothing to do all day. But, tomorrow and after tomorrow, shops are clothed so, you can wait till Saturday, then no problem.

Using local.ch, I have confirmed that the Vevey address is registered as the business address for Hara Pictures. The rue de Sébellion address in Lausanne is listed as the private (i.e. home) address for the person who is also listed as the 'art director' on the website. Both addresses share a phone number. This is, in my experience, not that unusual.

The mailing address doesn't have the name of this art director listed. It is not a business address but a residential address. This could be either because the person you are looking for prefers to keep their personal address ex-directory, or because an associate lives there. I couldn't find anything to link any of the residents listed with the company, but as the company website is a place holder that's not surprising. I didn't do a google search for each resident listed, as there are 10 of them and that (for me) is a bit of an invasion of privacy as people on local.ch can choose to have the profession listed if they wish to do so. None of those 10 residents did.

The company is listed as such on local.ch, with the right name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address etc. and also the art director is a member of the professional association for Swiss graphic designers.

So in summary, you have all the correct contact details, I couldn't find any additional information you don't have and I couldn't find anything to suggest anything 'funny', apart from the fact that this person hasn't responded to you - which could be rudeness.

And finally, no, I'm not a private eye or anything like that, I just used to volunteer for an organisation where part of my role was verifying people's addresses (usually subscribers when they sent illegible forms in, or when their subscription came back with 'address unknown). All the information I found was in the public domain, you just need to know where to look. I've got fairly good at it!

What a great response. Thank you to everyone who has taken time out to help me. I really appreciate it. I received an email from the guy yesterday, and it sounds like he's been having a bit of a hard time, however hopefully everything will now get sorted. I will, however, post the (hopefully happy) progress on this.
